    Brexit Betrayal thread

Haven't posted since Half way through the march so thought I'd update on what happened to me. As we headed towards Trafalgar square, thought I'd take a wee break at Green Park. Instead of rejoining the marchers, I cut through the park and catch up at Trafalgar Square, only to find myself in with the anti-Brexit mob. There really weren't many people there so I could easily make my way to the front as the speeches were just ramping up. Some black woman who I didnl;t recognise was spouting vitriol about the Brexit marchers (some 200 yards down the road) being racist fascists. She must've shouted 'fascists' fro the 10th time before I lost it and shouted back at her. "You're the fascists You have no idea what the word means." I said a whole load of other stuff too, but never swore once, which is pretty unusual for me. As you can imagine, security guards dragged me off pretty damned quick as she said something about white privilege at me, and the police threatened me with arrest. "What for?" I asked. "For challenging being called a fascist or Racist?" Anyway, after arguing with the plod and pushing my luck I was escorted away from the march and found a pub to have a drink (something I don't do to often - even shouldn;t do) and got a bit blotto and fucked off home. On balance I'm glad I did what I did. These people are insane.

The job market is a disgrace. IMO @Frank Hoviscan detail better than I can of the problems it causes when people have no motivation to aspire in life. My daughter has completed a degree and masters in biology/ecology and has a full time job with prospects she is enjoying plus a contract and agreement about her spilling up in a small company. She’s been at Bath (from Edinburgh) on the works do last weekend all expenses paid and had a great time. Lots I could say about how she enjoys her job. The downside is she has around £30k student debt and her salary is only 6k more than what I was paid in an ordinaryish local bank job in 1993! If she didn’t have the debt though her reality and future would be much worse IMO. Daughter is a very hard worker and trier but I do believe she simply got a bit of luck in life. Many of her peers who she met at uni, the majority, are doing short term contract stuff and vying for minimum wage jobs. There just isn’t enough meaningful work or opportunities for most to better oneself in life!

Why would anyone care whether the anti-brexit rally amasses 15k, 150k or, in fact, even 15mil people? Over 17mil people turned up with an opposing view when and where it actually mattered.

You can't reason with unreasonable people. If they were reasonable, you could have had a sensible discussion with them. All they know is how to chant and scream abuse at people who disagree (a mild form of fascism by surpressing differing views). I understand your frustration at them, but allowing them to 'trigger' you was not the smartest of moves. The MSM are on their side and will take anything like that out of context and distort it. Next time keep cool, smile nicely at them and let them expend their energy ranting at you and looking like fools. Watch how Gerrard manages to keep his cool when some of those reporters ask him dumb questions, he completely turns it around. What is great is that there was no trouble at all from the Brexit march, if the antifa mob had been allowed to get close it might have been different but the police did their job this time and kept them away. Both the marches had different aims. The Brexit march was to peacefully protest against the Brexit betrayal. The counter demo was to try and prevent, suppress and oppress the Brexit marchers right to peacefull protest. This left the MSM without any photos of skin head nazis, much to their disapointment it was normal everyday people. So they have to resort to trying to pass off photos of the Antifa mob (they look like fascists with the faces covered and their black and red flags) causing trouble as being Brexit marchers. And they also have to lie, for example the crazy claims over numbers at the demos. This is great, they have given us what we need. They have to lie, and the lies get more transparant each time. The Brexiteers didn't take the bait, the remainers showed themselves for what they are. Despite the MSMs best efforts, each time they distort the truth or outright lie, they discredit themselves and people lose trust in them. I think the march was a huge success. And that it went so well will encourage more to attend next time.

Whatever her faults (like many young people I disliked her at the time) if she’d been PM the last 3 years the future would be looking very different now. Can anyone really imagine her swallowing the shit spouted by the drunken old weasel Juncker? A conviction politician, possibly the last one ever to hold power in Britain.

    Bye bye Treason May?

Normally I would agree but my contempt for May runs so deep that every time she appears in front of me I start to shake. She is truly awful, and, when she is replaced, which can't come soon enough, she will be rightfully relegated to a tiny footnote in history. Of course the rest of them are just as bad -- castrated by inaction and lack of conviction, clearly unable to formulate any sort of plot to oust the hag despite her being as unpopular as post-op Lauren Harries prancing about at a church picnic... WTF. This country gets the politicians it deserves... the entire place has become a run-down, pot-holed shanty-town full of the migrant scourge who never work and hate this country as much as the politicians do. Corporate tax avoidance, NHS death squads, assumed entitlement to bennies, vagabonds & thieves on every street corner if not now then soon - it's grim! I'm envious of those who, like my parents were lucky enough to see this country before it went to pot. The trains might not have run on time then either but at least you knew what an actual police force was, at least you had politicians of substance, at least you could speak to your neighbours in English! At some point us younger folk will surely have had enough but I can't see anything brewing, I look to the horizon and still see nothing That's even more depressing than Treason May cancelling Brexit IMO.

I was offered a choice - leave a totally bent and corrupt Union of nations who hate each other's guts in a "clean-break" divorce, or stay in and get sucked further into the den of vipers. Being an intelligent person, I naturally chose the former. I'd rather be fucked up the arse by a proper Englishman, than be rogered by Johnny Foreigner...! But I digress. Why am I not being given what I voted for...? That is the only question that needs answering. Any other debate beyond that at this precise moment-in-time is complete and utter bull-shit... XYY

She's my greatest Briton of the twentieth century but I accept that she divides people. Since the Conservative plot to oust her we have had "leading" the country: John Major - Maastricht Tony Blair - mass immigration and pointless wars Gordon Brown - theft of the pension credit, making working people benefit-dependent with tax credits David Cameron - more of the same, did pretty much nothing bar an odd passion about bringing in gay marriage. Gave us the referendum but only as a gamble gone wrong. Treason May - PM by default. More of the same.

Spot on. TV money has ruined Division 1 and is beginning to ruin Division 2. Teams used to have high local contingents and those from other areas were still loyal and often stayed for their whole careers; crowds could get behind teams because the teams were as loyal as they were. Players would often be out celebrating with fans after big wins. Now the most depressing sight is seeing the players of the big premier league teams getting off the bus. Mercenaries from the Balkans, Africa, or South America. All with headphones in, ignoring both their team mates and their fans. That's not a team; how can you "passionately" support a bunch of mercenaries who don't give a stuff about who they play for as long as they become rich?

Well they (the MSM) obviously aren't winning, that's why everybody to the right of Poll Pot is getting banned off the internet. Yeah it will work up to a point but after that point people like Tommy Robinson will gain massive support from apparently nowhere. If they think they can force a second referendum by "negotiating the worst deal in history", win it against all the accusations of being traitors to the people of this country, vote for the repeal of article 50 (in parliament) and then carry on as fucking normal... then they are mental. It seems to me they would rather see the UK burn for 100 years than admit they lost.

Quite disgusting that MSM and DEMS gave these thousands of poor people from across Central America and beyond false hope of a new life in the United States. Encouraging them to make the journey of hundreds or even thousands of miles for no purpose other than hoping to use their plight as leverage against Trump on the run up to mid-term elections. Now they served their purpose they are abandoned.

Just had a kitchen fitted. The 'builder' is a cabinet maker, his skills are extraordinary. Left school at 16. Never out of employment. University is hugely overrated and they need to be closed and replaced by Technical colleges to produce the artisans that we need, not waiters with degrees. So, we give degrees in plumbing, electrician, gas fitter, motor fitter, you name it. We tailor these degrees to the current needs of our society No doubt the academics will be appalled-. Fuck them, they have led a generation into poverty with their snobbish lies.

Where are the homeless Muslims ? Maybe the question should be where are the obviously Muslim homeless ? I'm mainly seeing young (ish) white and black males and females, with or without a dog. I'm not seeing any obviously Muslim homeless. Yes, I know there are many (mainly Romanian ?) beggars, flower sellers, in city centres, around train stations, bus terminals, taxi ranks etc. Yes I know they wear scarves which can look like hijabs but they are mostly Catholic. Either we as a society are prioritising help for homeless Muslims or Muslims themselves are much kinder and better at looking after their own people ? What role do mosques play in comparison with churches for instance ? I have never seen so many homeless people on the streets as I have this year. I know there are initiatives such as the groups in Manchester led by Mayor Andy Burnham but fuck me they are everywhere. I spoke to a young girl today, she sleeps in a doorway, in a sleeping bag, with a duvet, and a small pop-up tent. She can't use the hostel because they won't let her dog stay with her(don't know what to say tbh, can see their point, kind of, but still...). She can't use food banks because most of the food needs cooking (?), ready meals, tins, packets, vegetables. What's happening to us as a country ?

SKY News interview people in Mansfield. Twat in a maroon hat tells us the driving force behind BREXIT is racism. BREXIT is a Far-Right Wing project from racists such as Tommy Robinson. We must remain in EU to help defeat racism. Of course he's not saying everyone that voted to leave is racist. No surprise this numpty is a....retired teacher.

Reads like a load of wishful thinking to me. Each generation of Muslims seem more and more radical. Reinforced by 100,000 or so new ones from the Third World every year. The benefit system encourages the stupid and feckless to breed. Unless something very radical is done soon the UK is fucked. So the UK is fucked.

I just cant understand how fully grown men can get so excited about this stale sport, whilst sat down for 90 minutes in their £70 seat. Chelsea used to only get 10,000 or so in the 80s, and only 30,000 or so until the Russian bought their success and destroying what was left of fair competition. A small pointless football club with mouthy posh fans. (i had season tickets for from 1982 to 1988) but now when i go to football which is only a few times a season i get bored .

My biggest gripe is schools' careers advice Most people now are employees and only know about being employees. Teachers have only ever been employees. All advice is about University and applying for a job, and the 'CV' in order to become an employee. Nobody teaches the alternative, being self employed and teaching the skills that are involved with that, basic accountancy, HMRC and taxation, Insurance etc etc

You are a stupid northerner who didn't know what they were voting for. Even though we spent taxpayers money sending you a personal leaflet to inform you of just how terrible voting for a "hard brexit" - as we have decided to call it now to scare you - would be. The fact you knew this and both sides of the vote agreed on what this would entail - now means nothing. We have changed our mind now that the result went the "wrong" way. You knew nothing. You didn't understand it. You poor wee uneducated soul. Now get back to your council house and minimum wage role in life. And if we are good enough to give you another vote. We will ensure you tick the correct box this time. Signed The cunts in government. And the opposition as well for that matter.

Totally, but there is a risk of short term shortages due people getting spooked by project fear and panick buying. I will be amazed if we don't get photos of empty shelves at some point on the news. I expect to see some posh bint on the telly with a tale of woe that she went into Costas and they had run out of vanilla shots for her latte due to Brexit. I would be quite happy for a reduction in imports, we can then build a productive and wealth generating industry to make it ourselves. Perhaps if we make things that are good value, well built and desirable we could even export stuff. And if GBP crashes, then even better.

The problem I can see is the ‘just in time’ delivery ‘service ‘. We had had it before. A bit os snow or the slightest disruption and the supermarket shelves are empty. Just imagine if the lorries get held up at the ports for a couple of days. Mind, those in rural communities will be ok as a lot of produce to local shops is still sourced fairly locally. It’s the cities that are completely divorced from food production that will fall first.

    Two words: small government.
