Jesus. Maybe I'm old fashioned but who the fuck puts lipstick on a nine year old, 'trans' or not? 'Look! He definitely wants to be a girl so we've stuck some lipstick on him, just to prove a point!' So far my child has told me he wants to be Harry Potter, Ben-10, Willy Wonka and Thor. If he'd like to be one of those after the age of 18 then he has my blessing. As a parent of good judgement I'm not currently about to take a childs word that he's a Norse God of lightning and send him into school with a hammer and a winged helmet because he says so. I see many years of serious therapy ahead for this kid.

When I first saw the news about the crash, like @Frank Hovis I assumed it would be an old aircraft held together with string. I was surprised it was such a new aircraft. No idea how much it cost. Many millions I guess. And then I recall the charity campaigns to give a few pounds a month to give a village fresh water or a few pounds a month to feed starving children. Yet the national airline, I presume its state owned, can spend millions on new aircraft. How does that work?

Unless your Muslim, and then you can register all the cars in your illegal taxi firm, plus all of your family and local community, to some poor 95 year old 250 miles away, who doesn't know he owns 600 cars. Beyond this you can then drive and park with impunity, and without any tax or insurance (because car insurance is banned under Islamic law anyway). The authorities will never chase you because A) they can't find you, and B) they're scared of being called racist. Far easier to go after Jo Bloggs the honest tax payer, when he/she runs over on their VED or insurance by a few days, because Mr/Mrs Bloggs is easy to trace, as they're on "the system". Whilst Achmed the terrorist came in on the underside of a 44 tonne truck and whilst they know he's here illegal and living in a large flammable tower block, they'd rather the public didn't find out. Don't even get me started on community driving license services, why learn when someone who also looks vaguely like a post box, can do your test for you?

    Tommy Robinson thread

This is why TR is dangerous* he unites people regardless of skin colour. He has many black supporters, hopefully a growing area. I even know some (British) moderate Muslims who support him because they feel he is helping by working to stop the undesireable elements. I think life in the UK has become far more racist and sexist in recent times. Everything seems to be about skin colour (or even what shade) and sex. When you put people in groups (gangs?) then of course it will create division - perhaps intended. How ironic that when I visit the So-Called BBC all I see is racism and divisive news, yet when I see TR and his supporters I see unity. * A danger to the 'establishment'

I am reminded of the account of a Russian officer in Cornelius Ryan's book of the final days of World War Two - 'The Last Battle' - about the fall of Berlin. The Russian, who sounds a very decent man, talked about his unit coming across a Prussian estate with a large house within it. Inside the house they found luxury that they had never seen before. He told how his men began to gang-rape a woman and her daughter whilst, in an open doorway nearby, hung the body of a high-ranking German officer who had hung himself shortly before the Russians arrived. The Russian said that he knew that he should stop what his men were doing. But he had been at war for 4 years and had seen horror upon horror that the Nazis had done to innocents. As the women cried out for mercy he just thought of all those innocents people murdered whilst this woman and her daughter lived their lives not caring a jot about them. When this woman calls for mercy stop and think of that Jordanian pilot burnt alive in a cage, think of all the other men burnt alive, shot in the head of who had their heads hacked off. Think of all those females, aparently as young as 5 years and as old as in their 90s, who were sold, tortured and used as sex slaves. Mercy - fuck ISIS. Fuck them all!

    Doublethink?

Congestion charges create friction to travel.. especially from those "out of town". When I drive down to London I avoid going anywhere inside the M25, simply because I have no idea what the rules are and can't be doing with the hassle. I guess if I needed to go there on business I would make an effort if there was no other choice.. but even then I'd probably go a little as possible, as opposed to other customers who I might make more effort to build relationships with. The same with the new Runcorn bridge, I just avoid the area.. if I need to cross the Mersey I head through Warrington or the M6 instead. If any of the other cities nearby did the same (Manchester were talking about it) that's another place I would try to avoid both for business and pleasure. So in terms of discouraging people driving to / visiting these places.. yes, it works. But it will probably have the effect of moving the problem into other areas. If emissions are the problem, it would probably be better just to incentivise the conversion to electric vehicles more quickly. If traffic volumes and congestion are the problem then it would be better to start knocking down inner city housing and build better roads (like they did recently in Liverpool). That and / or start to address the ever growing population problem.

Jodie Chesney, 17, murdered in park

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-47521329 A 15-year-old boy has become the second person to be charged with the murder of a teenage girl who was stabbed to death in a park in east London. Jodie Chesney, 17, was knifed in the back near a children's playground in Harold Hill, Romford, on March 1. The teenager, who cannot be named, was arrested on Friday and is due before Barkingside Magistrates' Court. Manuel Petrovic, 20, from Romford, was remanded in custody on Saturday to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday. A further four arrests have been made in connection with the investigation, the Metropolitan Police said. An 18-year-old man from Romford was arrested on suspicion of murder. A man, 50, and woman, 38, both from Dagenham, and a 17-year-old boy have all been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All four remain in custody while inquiries continue, detectives added. Whats the betting they are not actually from Romford or Dagenham. This type of reporting is shit. How about using a foreign - or better, country - national living in xxx.

Lots of different things Harley. In buying the transports its because they hedge fuel 4 years out and i expect massive runs up in prices. That will force people out of cars onto buses. They can also increase prices with RPI while depreciation is set in stone for 5 to 10 years.People will be ditching the car in droves as prices crush them elsewhere. Something like Royal Mail i expect competitors to go under.Their main cost is wages.Wages go up once a year.If they increase prices ahead of wages it will flow to free cash. Energy companies because the price will go up,again faster than depreciation. The new cycle will see the economy move to more electric. Telecoms are tricky.High debts mean increased payments and more investor worry. However again they have fixed depreciation somewhat yet can increase prices with inflation flowing direct to free cash. Silver Miners for the explosion in silver use from EVs and solar (and telcos) topped by investment buying. Gambling companies as people tend to gamble more when they are struggling. Agriculture stocks due to the transfer of power to them from the consumer stocks during a reflation. Military manufacture as tensions will rise and rise during inflation as it always does. Not all will win of course, inflation can crush margins if the management arent clever, and demand can fall faster than they can make up.Having a semi monopoly really helps. I simply tilt my portfolio towards inflation loving stocks. Its still balanced, just if dis-inflation continued id expect it to under-perform.If im right i expect it will out-perform,perhaps by 2% to 4% a year and as you know, that makes a big deal when compounding a decent sized portfolio.

Apparently, the family have been unable to make direct contact with Shamima But journalists seem able to do so. I suggest the family travel to Syria with the journalists and make the direct contact with Shamima that they so desire. While the family is out of the UK, Javid can revoke their citizenships too. In that way, all the family can be kept in direct contact in perpetuity.

So I go to look at my email and there's an on-screen banner advert: DVLA: "We're clamping untaxed cars in your area........" and "If yours isn't taxed it could be next...." Regardless of the subject, this just sums up the nature of the State's increasingly authoritarian relationship with it's citizens. Totally inappropriate and unecessary language. That they think it is acceptable just shows how bad things have become in their relationship with us and the lost idea of thier power being granted through delegation and consent. Surely something that'll only get worse. Have you seen any similar examples?

In his reply Javid admitted that 20,000 Syrians had been allowed to settle in Britain already because of the conflict. Staggering and I'll bet none of them have been checked out for ISIS, (aka Al Qaeda, Taliban, Mujahideen etc etc) and other jihadi connections not to mention whether they're actually Syrians.

I’m not a fan. People on here may consider me a fan, relatively, but I’m not, really. I mostly enjoy what MCU have done and how they’ve turned comic book movies into something entertaining, at time when other studies are still turning tired excuses like the recent X-men movies. I do however have a side line in selling pop culture merchandise to fans, so it helps to know your customer. The shit show that was TLJ, really hurt sales to fans. Kids stuff not so much. But higher stuff, has taken a real hit. The buy 3 copies guys just evaporated. We’re not even remotely close to that in MCU. So I wouldn’t say MCU fans are pessimistic, net yet. Nervous for post endgame, certainly. But the Ace in the hole Marvel fans have, is Kevin Feige. As for the comic book side, it isn't the first time they've had no idea how to manage their IP. The only reason we have the avengers, is it was the cluster of characters that didn't really have any market value. So killing the brand by creating all sorts of characters and retcon that no-one really wants. Same as it ever was. And the collectors of every first issue for *insert new character* has driven a lot of this. I could go on about this for days, but really in the comic book world it's just not a simple as identity politics. And incidentally, Ben Afflect cast as Batman hurt DC as much as full blown SW level SJW would have.

There's a large bit of Golgafrincham Ark Fleet Ship B about this plane. Also related to my 10m+-2m EUers in the UK. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47518313 Lets look at the pluky Brits - and this is no means to disrepect their memory, just to point out the stupidity of their jobs. Joanna Toole - 36, flying about complaining about fishing nets. As she worked for UN marine conservation you can sort of bet she dined on roast suckling Manatee ... Ull dad. While Joseph Waithaka, 55, had been returning to Kenya where he has lived since 2015. ... He described his father, who moved to the UK in 2004 and had joint citizenship, as a ‘generous’ man who ‘loved justice’ and had previously worked for Humberside Probation Trust. Hes fucking Kenyan; hes not 'lived since ...' hes lived there for 4/5ths of his fucking life. He had a job doing probation work in fucking Ull for 10 years. How the fuck can someone relate to a Ull shoplifter FFS? Sarah Auufet Ms Auffret, believed to have had dual British and French nationality, was a polar tourism expert and had been travelling to Nairobi to talk about how to tackle marine plastic pollution at the UN event. Shes French FFS. Polar tourism expert - theres a penguin, theres a polar bear. Dont give the Eskimos whiskey.. The irony of a 'polr expert' flying to nairobi for a talk. UK gives Kenya money to feed its starving children. Kenya spends money on super duper planes to use for shopping trips to London.

No. If I borrow money from a bank, as a consumer, then I am more than protected. I I borrow for commercial reasons - and IO BTL are commercial loans - then tis a different story. The law sees the transaction as between two peers. The law expects a business owner, be it Mr Patel corner shop or IBM, to seek and obtain paid for, professional advice. Any person making a stand about unfair lending is an idiot. The terms of this cunts mortgages were simple - IO for 10-15 years. Then pay the money back.

    Doublethink?

It's not quite so bizarre as you've made it sound. Let me mansplain :- What it will do is reduce both congestion and air pollution by driving poorer plebs onto buses and trains or bikes, while richer people cruise into town and park for free in their expensive electric cars. So it will benefit someone - rich people with Teslas or similar. I expect they'll introduce some sort of subsidised electric car system for councillors too, possibly with a special lane for them like the old KGB lanes in Moscow.

I thought I was going off on one so self censored the post. Plus I didn't want to kick off an arguably pointless debate on the validity of each at the expense of focussing on what to do if you buy into the core premise. Sometimes I just want a happy life and avoid exposing myself only to get curt negative comments and/or a lack of reciprocity. Plus some times I write stuff for personal clarity and motivation, which does not mean it's very interesting to others. Plus probably pretty standard stuff so not sure if it was worth the read. Plus done on the phone so needs editing to not waste people's time. See, I do try! I have it saved somewhere for my personal use and action, although what do is a killer!
