I was at my parents last night watching some celebrity quiz show on the So-Called BBC. The two celebrities that won had some refugee charity as their nominated charity. the So-Called BBC donated £1k to the refugee charity.
FFS, that's seven people that have paid their BBC licence that have funded that!
I'm so glad I no longer pay my TV licence.

Many of them will have grow up with stories about the cultural revolution and people having to agree that blue is green.  That inoculates the populace for 2-3 generations in my view.  Hence Eastern Europe.

    Isn't that about 52% to 48%?
Surely some were lied to, and others were too thick to understand.
I think we can safely ignore that result and go for a second one when people are better informed.

You can’t have it both ways: the monarchy is either a backstop against fatally stupid decisions of politicians, or its not. If she had no power to stop the insane descent into hell that the country has taken during her tenure, then there is no constitutional point to the monarchy and it should be abolished.

Isn't William known as "Work shy William". Harry is emotionally unstable; the English stiff upper lip doesn't feature with him. Tired of him pouring his heart out to the press when we've barely heard a word from the Queen in 66 years and she has the more high profile gig...I think only the Queen gets it. I don't want Charles and his meddling - you can just tell he thinks his influence is needed and that the Crown will allow him the chance to pull a few more strings behind the curtain. Again, if the Queen does this she certainly covers her tracks well.
I will be pretty disappointed when the Queen dies. If only because her heirs are a poor substitute and if we go Republic then we'll end up with some weasel like President Blair with his nose in the trough. For that reason, long may she reign!

I think its been said before, but surely the house doesnt have to pass a ‘no deal’.
No Deal is the default option if a deal cant be reached, since on 29 March, as a consequence of the passing of Article 50 nearly 2 years ago, the UK leaves the EU, no?

FWIW, I agree that all the points you mention would be high on the agenda of the EU high command, should the UK seek to revoke Article 50 (and it seems that these points have totally escaped the remainer media, luvvies and other assorted useful idiots. Or maybe not?  )

I always said that on the 24th June 2016 we should have repealed the 1972 Act and left with immediate effect. This would have pulled the rug from underneath the EU's feet giving them no time to plan but rather to have to immediately implement WTO and associated micro-arrangements to ensure trade etc continued without disruption. It would have totally de-ganged them and introduced them to a dose of reality. Once the rest of the EU27 saw that you could have the good without all the bad, the EU would be finished. Job done.

Regarding the poster who thinks she is ugly, well, I couldnt agree less; I find her very attractive, and not just because there might be a hint of minge showing in the HoC pic.
But heres the thing, she could be sitting there completely naked and you still wouldn't be able to see her vagina, because its an internal organ.
No wonder women complain that so many men can't find their clitorises, if they dont even know the difference between the vulva and the vagina.
    /anatomy pedant off.

We'd be in a better position now.

He is completely wrong of course. The worst PM in his lifetime was Gordon Brown (including his time as war criminal Bliar's Chancellor). Treason May is just incredibly ineffective. Gordo was actively destructive and his reforms have proven to be intractable; namely Tax Credits and the client state; weaponised mass immigration and the resultant destruction of labour power; the destruction of pensions and resultant housing bubble; the commodification of further education leading to a generational debt trap. Compared to that nation-vandal May is just a petty time-waster.

I'm not sure I agree with that. He was being paid to perform stunts in a plane which people were paying money to watch. I don't know how many of the dead were watching or planned to watch, but a good number of them were, IIRC. The organisers should be responsible, that's why they have public liability insurance.
Don't know if the stories about him acting strangely or without a care afterwards are accurate, so I pay them no heed. Sounds like tabloid bollocks.
Also a bit concerned that Mail Online (of all websites!) has locked comments on this while the court case is going on. If you are going to post on it please be mindful of this or I will have to remove posts if they err to close to the line, until the case is over. Sorry
