The letters "PFI" don't figure anywhere in the lengthy goverbankment release. Do they still get all their money?
    Go long NHS Executive pay.
Got to love the final bit where writing £13.4bn of debt off has no fiscal cost.

Latest report from DvR. Her endoscopy unit, now turned into a covid-19 ward, has 60 positive testing patients in at the moment, up from 10, 3 days ago on Monday. She's very tired after lots of long shifts. They have all the right masks/PPE now, but the nurses are still quite scared of catching it themselves... Obviously they're seeing all the worst cases, but still..it's bravery, not foolhardiness that's keeping them going.

I did about 4 days bean picking when I was 14. Cycled to the farm nice and early. Or so I thought, already a dozen pickers there. Got given a sack and off I went, picking beans.
Fill the sack, take it to get weighed, be given a shilling and another sack to fill. Rinse and repeat.
About 1 or 2 pm, farmer had his quota for the day and that was it. iirc, I made 15 shillings. One guy had made 35 shillings, I was in awe.
All Boris has to do is make fruit and veg picking exempt from minimum wage legislation and the farmers will soon have plenty of pickers.
Earning your own money through your own labour is a great experience for a youngster.

I can understand them trying to reduce their losses by asking you to shift your booking later and imagine that if you refuse, trying to ignore any request for a refund.
However, the government instruction seems very clear:
    1. Businesses and venues that must remain closed
To reduce social contact, the government has ordered the following businesses and venues to close:
    Accommodation
Hotels, hostels, B&Bs, holiday rentals, campsites and boarding houses for commercial use

It would be a shame to have to threaten the small claims court but it appears less a matter of you refusing to honour the contract than them being unable to deliver what they agreed to provide.
