At my son's school, one of the pupils was 'fluid'.
He slept in the girls' dorm some nights, the boys' dorm on others.
    Words failed me.

That'll be the boys that only explore their gender identity on PE days so they can perve on the girls - thank god my daughter has left school and has seen this for what it is.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7465909/Transgender-pupils-use-changing-rooms-toilets-choice-according-leaked-guidelines.html
New guidelines which allow transgender pupils to use the same changing rooms and toilets of their choice have been criticised for 'ignoring the rights of girls'.
The draft document from the Equality and Human Right Commission (EHRC) is expected to be introduced in October.
It wants to protect children who meet the legal definition of gender reassignment as well as pupils 'who are simply exploring their gender identity'.

great mix of stories, I didn't realise that the quadriplegic character was played by the actor who portrayed Harry Potters loathsome cousin. He was excellent.

An interesting article. Miserable inactive, inarticulate people will go gaga, so the DOSBODS massive has nothing to worry about then.
What is a good death is personal to the individual, I don't want to face a prolonged hospital stay in pain or being dependent on someone else to do everything for me whilst I can't remember who I am. With some types of dementia the individual loses their memories first but not the emotions that go with those memories. Imagine being sad or frightened about something but not knowing why - sod that. I've told Mr Dipsy it's the Swiss clinic for me, I've put pets to sleep out of kindness I'm damned if I shouldn't be able to do that to myself.

Loved The Boys (that poor dolphin). I'm enduring the final season of Preacher simply to see how it ends as the makers have promised to tie up the storylines, Tulip is my favourite character (but not because of her arse).
Money Heist on Netflix is one we are currently watching. Spanish  - ingenious plan to pinch vast sums of money from a € printing factory. Lots of twists, well acted. Three seasons and I've no idea how it ends or whether there will be more seasons as I have avoided spoilers.

Never had any. I don't speed in built up areas but do where the council has arbitrarily lowered the limits on country roads, they don't put cameras on them and the police don't have the resources to set speed traps. I usually do 80-85 on the motorway, 70 seems far too slow and I'm still overtaken by the Audis etc

Because most women still think weight training equals huge muscles. I've been weight training for a few months now and it's transformed my body, I look better, I'm stronger and my posture has improved and I don't look like a body builder. Plus for women of my age it's good for increasing bone density.

I think our wedding cost about £400, registry office, told no one, done purely for tax purposes. I just can't understand why people spend what they do on weddings. Family ones that I have been to have all been relatively modest affairs, certainly not 50k ones. Ok if you are a billionaire as you aren't getting in debt for it but why people do it who clearly cannot afford it, gawd knows.

I work for an annuity provider, the rates are shocking unless you can get a health underwritten one and you have something horribly wrong with you, of course you just have to hope you can beat the actuaries. I'll be opting for drawdown when I take my benefits.

A day or two before, a local was so concerned about his driving (it was more than without insurance, he didn't have a licence or MOT) that he reported him to the police to be told that he was being racist for doing so.    Plod failed to act, hence two people lost their lives.  The police also have blood on their hands with this one

Just had an email with another pay rise this is purely driven by a staff exodus to pastures new and the cost of agency to cover there shifts Im going to be on 10.70 an hour and 15 quid an hour for overtime I’m not sure what % increase that 60p an hour works out at but it’s basicly 7 quid a night the lodgers overjoyed then I pointed out he could afoard a board increase 😂 but my main point is that care firms now have no option but to increase wages to attract perminant staff not the 16 hours a week mob
