I saw a really striking woman with a strange tattoo the other day. It was an equilateral triangle with a circle inset so it touches each side in the centre, and inside the circle some Roman numerals. It only impinged on my consciousness because the wearer was so very attractive. Once I had noticed it though I started seeing other women sporting variations on the same image. Last week at the pub after work I saw the intern had earrings on with the same symbol, so I asked her about the meaning. What could be the powerful esoteric wisdom encapsulated in the symbol, that prompted these fine women to brand it onto their skin for eternity?
The intern supplied the answer with elegant brevity: "It's a fing from Harry Potter, innit."

I suspect you would get a similar response from non-muslims as to whether they would step in to defend a burqa clad woman.
    I wouldn't.

When I was single in Sydney, I made my self talk to strangers on the ferry every day.  Just one person, man or woman, just something about the journey or the weather, etc.  It really cemented my NFG attitude to talking to women.  Great skill.

I know very few people who I would describe as middle class with tattoos other than some women with a token very small one of a flower or a bird.
They seem to be par for the course for working class people though. I don't mean chavs; proper respectable tradespeople.
The odd middle class person with substantial tattoos looks a bit tragic, like a member of the royal family wearing a Sex Pistols t shirt.

I think a certain rich Hungarian knows that he could go any day now and has decided to use his wealth to destroy as much as possible. He seems to be persona non grata in Israel and an islamified Europe will mean that Israel is geographically isolated and basically finished. I think the man is pure evil.

It made The Sun two hours' ago so as it's not yet hit the other papers the So-Called BBC can be excused for now.  Veyr sketchy details in the Sun; just says four men and they usually will report these things properly.

I actually think nobody really likes jazz and all the men are going to the jazz clubs because they think they will meet women there so have to pretend to like jazz and all the women are going to meet men so also have to pretend to like jazz.
Then after thirty years of marriage following that meeting in the jazz club and listening to Jazz FM in the car and going to jazz clubs every week, during a row the truth is revealed:
"And I never liked jazz anyway!"
"What?  I thought you loved it, I never liked the rubbish stuff, I was going along with it for you!"

The internet really is a doubled edged sword. On one hand it's provided all this amazing information which wasn't around when I started dating, for those who want to dive deeper than the Disney story "sugar and spice and all things nice" we're told about women (before Google considers it hate speech that is and bans it). Yet on the other hand it's given us the cancer that is PoF, Tinder, Twatter, Instawhore and Facebook.

A childhood growing up watching her on every other Two Ronnies or Mike Yarwood show making it up as she went along and everyone being told how wonderful she was.

Marks & Spencer's allows both Muslim and Jewish staff to refuse to handle pork.
I don't work there but as a strong opponent of the religious slaughter of animals would I similarly be allowed to refuse to handle halal and kosher products because I view them as cruelty foods?
Would a strict vegan be allowed to refuse to handle all meat.
Would a teetotaler by conviction be allowed to refuse to handle alcohol?
What about a Jehovah's Witness doctor who refused to carry out blood transfusions?
It can get very silly. If there is an aspect of a job that runs counter to your beliefs and you feel very strongly about it then:
    Don't do that job.

You'd find her attractive anyway.  I didn't say that there were no attractive women in the Olympics; rather that their being in the Olympics makes no difference to their attractiveness.
    Here you go:

    Kiira Korpi (Figure Skater)
Any interest in whether she's won anything or not?

    Yes, very much so.
Great career - that's a personal thing.  It's like being wealthy and not spending it, or getting top grades in your O levels.
Yes, it's of benefit to you but why should another person find it attractive?
I don't find a woman more attractive because she has (say) won an Olympic Gold Medal.  Great achievement for her but it doesn't confer attractiveness.

But unless she's saying "I'm normal, it's brilliant being fat" she doesn't belong on this thread; it's a shocker but it would belong on a "People who've let themselves go" thread.
It's not "have a go at fat people"; though I will make an exception for this one:
