Yep. A female Bangladeshi Muslim friend told me l about the clan based voting system in her community (in Canada but same as the UK I expect). She learned about it when aged 18 she discovered that her father had registered her for a postal vote and then voted for the candidate chosen by the council of his mosque all without telling her. She ripped him another one (she’s a formidable lady) and made sure it didn’t happen again. She also noted that her mum and other older female relatives went along with it without question. I would guess that at least half of the postal votes cast by Bangladeshi and Pakistani muslims are fraudulent.

Apparently there were also people turned away because they had already voted ,it`s not clear whether they were trying to vote twice or there vote had been cast by someone else without their knowledge

Would be really funny for sure. The question is going to be whether the scale of any fraud that may have happened is material in the context of a 700 vote majority.

So the Starmer/Letwin Brexit blocking bill didn’t make it through despite Bercow breaking with every precedent to enable it. I wonder if the success of TBP has focused Tory minds somewhat?

A successful comeback would be up there with Lemond's, but behind Lance's. Although both were much younger.
Johan Museeuw had a very bad injury after a crash at a similar age -- and nearly lost his leg -- but did come back to win one-day classics.
First of all, I hope he just gets back on his feet.

Froome became an incredible rider, and was very likable.
Bizarrely, he probably won the 2011 Tour of Spain yesterday.
I never thought I'd see a British winner of the TDF, let alone witness the dominance of the past 7 years.
His career trajectory was fairly amazing. Froome was very close to being dropped by Sky in 2011. From there to being a 7 time grand tour winner! Amazing.
I've never seen anyone ride Mont Ventoux the way he did in 2013 -- with the insanely high cadence.
Terrible accident though. I don't think we'll see him racing again.

I don't think much of Sir Farah, by all accounts and a few close ones, he's a complete bellend.
    That said, this comment:
"The Farah kids were always playing on the green outside their house, riding bikes and scooters, shouting, screaming and throwing things."
...sounds like something Hyacinth Bucket would come out with.
If the kids were little shits and the parents did nothing then a pox upon them but frankly the neighbours also sound like a right bunch of knobs.

I still use Arsebook as a convenient way of keeping up with my very geographically distributed set of friends and family but I have definitely noticed that there is less and less stuff being posted on there now. A few years back it was 90% user generated content and 10% ads, now I'd say it's the other way around. Might just be my social circle getting older I guess but more likely, I think it's gradually falling out of fashion.

Another one for festivals. I didn’t mind them when I was younger now I’d rather have a colonoscopy than go to one.
City breaks is another. I used to quite like flying off somewhere on a Friday night and coming back Sunday afternoon in time for work the next day. Now I would find it way too much hassle.
