Toyota Sera, Mowden shops in Darlington. Presumably a Japanese import as never seen one in the UK before. Gull wing doors I believe

Not sure I know about these, but it's an older one as it doesn't have the swivelling headlights.

Yes, it's probably a very early 60s DS19 judging by the rear lights

Some of the pre 1967 models with the fixed headlights were called ID19/21 with a less sophisticated suspension set up. After 1967 the ID was replaced with the "D Super" badge.

The 19 models had the 1911 cc engine from the Traction Avant. Unfortunately Citroen spent so much money in R&D into this remarkable car that there was no budget left for new engines at the start. However, I think the 20 replaced the 19 circa 1969/70.

I've had both!

Here's my old Tempra:

1990 Fiat Tempra 1.4

It was a 1.4 base model with heavy steering and an analogue clock where the rev counter should have been. My sister and former BIL had a nicer one (1991 1.6 SX with a digital dashboard).

My GCSE biology teacher's sole ambition in life was to own a Toyota Supra.

So he bought one.

Years later I saw him on an episode of Question Time, asking a question.

Great anecdote, bro.
