Lord Barwell

Recommended Posts

This little runt is one of the most useless cunts ever to become an MP, then after failing to win his seat after wrting a book about "how to win a marginal seat", he then gets the job of betraying the country by getting the worst Brexit deal imaginable.

And is rewarded with becoming a life peer.

That little runt has become a Peer? FFS. :PissedOff:

Lost his seat didn't he, then got an advisor's job with state salary because he couldn't cut it in the real world, and now he has another state salary, presumably because he would have been out of work again under BoJo. Fuck off Barwell you snivelling little git.

Perhaps he's May's little boy.

Only good thing about this is, shutting down the current house of lords and changing it to an elected chamber will be far easier for whoever decides to do it.

I thought the House of Lords was impressive before they meddled with it. Not  popular opinion I suspect. But the HoL select committees were top notch and a league above the HoC ones.

Once Blair started putting in his cronies in vast number a policy followed by his heirs is what destroyed the HoL for good.

An epic failure such as Barwell should be a low level public servant somewhere non descript, not in the HoL.

And not just the HoL.  Seemingly in every quango and regulatory body going!  Advertising Standards, the media regulator, the Electoral Commission........  Everything needs overhauling/cutting back.  This has gone well beyond Brexit, the fools.

I think there probably was some sort of sense of duty to the country amongst at least some of the hereditary peers before Blair corrupted it. I would like to see it as an elected and smaller reviewer of legislation.
