London Stock Exchange

Recommended Posts

This is probably a stupid question.

Hong Kong Exchange want to buy London Stock Exchange.

But for £30bn.

Market cap of about £3.5tn and billions traded daily (I assume they get a small skim on each trade).

Why is the offer so low? I know they are poised to reject it.

Makes sense, they are effectively moving their money and business out of HK to London where China cannot invade and grab it.
