It is hilarious, the further away from the election defeat the more they are distancing themselves from what really happened, fingers in ears and onwards comrades.

I know.
It's so funny seeing some of the crap they come out with. It is like they are blind and deaf to why they actually lost the election.

They really should get back to their "roots". However cheesy that sounds. We are the party of the people. We want to protect your jobs. We want to minimise immigration as it negatively impacts you. We want to be on your side.

Do that and the labour party suddenly rises from the ashes. But they won't. Because they are pussies.

Struggling Labour leadership candidate Jess Phillips claims immigration is not too high

The unlikely contender called for Labour to “bust” the idea that “that working-class communities are hostile to immigration”.

“In a battle that’s become too much about ‘the numbers’, we’ve forgotten that, at its core, immigration is about people – people who fall in love, create families, build better lives for themselves and make our communities the vibrant places they are.”

The unlikely contender called for Labour to “bust” the idea that “that working-class communities are hostile to immigration”.

Fuck sake, totally clueless.

Yeah, come on Labour, get busting.

Forget that in poll after poll after poll as far back as you want to go, whenever the British people - working class, middle class and upper class - are given the chance to voice their opinion they emphatically tell you that they don't want mass immigration and they want the numbers drastically reduced or stopped altogether.

She's yet another champagne socialist detached from the people she pretends to serve. I'm all for a points based immigration system that doesn't harm the host.

Time for her chat outside the LGBT school. "I grew up around here, matey Jim and so I know how all the little sub-communities love each other".

I'm for a points based system too - but not with anyone currently on the mainstream political landscape having a say on the scoring structure.

I'm impressed -- she's clearly not completely stupid.

More her ego couldn't stand the thought of coming last or second to last.

Or maybe she was politely told that the public expect their elected officials to bathe slightly more often than every season. On the backbenches, no one can hear you smell.

In a video message to supporters, the Birmingham Yardley MP argued the next leader had to be able to unite the whole Labour movement.

She said she had to "be honest" with herself - "that person is not me."

Well .. if she was totally honest, shed say it was none of the other candidates either and that voters should look for another party to vote for.

You might want the sound on mute...

And close your eyes.

Keir is the least worst option for them now..  they could do with shedding a few more female candidates so it doesn't look like "out of six five candidates they chose the only bloke because sexism".

At least if they cut it down to three candidates it looks "fair" if/when he wins.

They’ll keep losing because they represent all that people dislike about modern politics..  group identity above meritocracy.  Sad.

I feel Jess has sold herself short here.

She is completely correct, Labour need someone who can bring the openly warring factions together.

I honestly believe that after just a few weeks as leader, she would have had the entire party united with one common goal in sight...

To get rid of her!
