Threes a Chinese Chinese kid at mrspsys school.

He turned  up only speaking one phrase - 'Hi there!'

I think he lives iin a room above a takeaways  with his mum and several other family members.

Hes got a cold at the moment.

The schools was discussing going into some some lockdown/biological hazard zone

Lots of Asian folk near where I work - Many walking around with surgical masks on in recent days.

I don’t wish to exaggerate but I’m probably going to die.

Ffs, we are all going to die. There are only two unknowns. When and how

I've started with a cough. Temperature up 1.1'C

Events cancelled

Doomed! :P

And beaten me to it if it's the bat-lurgi as although I'm probably infected I have no significant symptoms yet apart from the general tiredness which has been present since Christmas. Missus is getting a test as I type...

Good luck, as a female in relatively good health the odds are on your side, all the honey must help!

Wasn't feeling bad earlier but lungs feeling a bit off again now.

Been temperature-y all afternoon too.

I'm sure I'll be fine. Son admits he's been feeling a bit off this week too and husband points out he's heard him coughing so he's bought it home I think.

Better news is my mum has put some food in the cupboard and is eating honey!  Preemptive honey eating!

King of Fools

I’m convinced I had it starting December 28th. Bad fever ( was in a daze for about 4 days), persistent cough. I was off work for 3 weeks. That can’t be ordinary flu can it?
I live in Liverpool, but had worked in Spain and Northern Ireland just prior to Christmas.

Similar here early/mid December - dry cough, fever, fatigue but nothing else. Around ten days to recovery, with a false dawn sometime in the middle, to find that someone I knew had been hospitalised with pneumonia.

I've just seen an attention seeker in one social group in town (not one I go to, but I get copied into texts) say she has it, and then play the whole 'it's only flu, chill, no, not getting tested'.  People are losing their shit, as many were sitting with her last week for 4 hours.

Amazing how quickly the veneer of civilisation disappears...

She can't get tested unless they need it for her death certificate.

Phoned doctors today as told to by 111 yesterday as fever of over 40c has lasted 7 days for BIL. Receptionist bumped us up the list mentioning half the people on it requesting a call had only just started coughing. Doctor called back after an hour or so basically said as I expected, how is your breathing, if ok, stay in bed, isolate, could last 2 weeks. Realistically they're only going to help you if you're clearly in a life threatening position, won't prescribe anything to lower the fever.

Told us of a isolation unit setup in a small town we can go to for testing. We're of the opinion of just assuming he has it and work with it. Leaving the house, infecting a car etc just to be told what we already expect isn't worth it.

His symptoms are bit of a cough, not anything you'd normally worry about, eating a banana a day, 40c+ temperature yet feeling cold, can't sleep, bed ridden 7 days. People say it's like the worst flu you've ever had and so far it seems that way here.

No idea where he caught it. My niece (12) told us she had a crazy bad headache a few weeks ago, which was unusual but only lasted a day or so or from a convention 2 weeks prior with lots of drinking and socialising, who knows really.

Bleached the whole house today, luckily me and my sister seem unaffected and we can't all get ill as there are a huge amount of animals here to look after. Taking isolation pretty serious now, children won't be going to school as of tomorrow, only sent them today to get a lay of the land.

Rural Norfolk.

One of the mum's at our school has tested positive for CV and as such her children have been isolated (taken out of school). Mid-40s and unwell so assume this is a hospital admission.

It's madness that we haven't locked down, only country not in step with the world.
