Wonder who bagged the last of the V8s.

Wrong borders.

Just watched BoJo's message to the people

He's talking to us like we are children

Agree. But a large majority of the country need to be treated as such.

Supermarket queue at the weekend. Some obese halfwit, practically a walking, talking, breathing argument for eugenics remarks "warra a ment tu do wi ma fucking kids" (add broad Derbyshire accent for authenticity).

As has been said elswhere on the forum, whilst not making light of the fact that people are dying, i'm practically enjoying this.

Hmm looking at the figures

As of 5pm on 26 March, of those hospitalised in the UK, 759 have sadly died.

How long before they start redefining the word "hospital" to keep these figures down?

To put that in perspective, another 45,000 died but not from Covid-19.

Or perhaps many more have died before reaching hospital.

I hope this is one of those times when the real figure is used.

We all need to know.

Italy records highest daily tally of Covid-19 deaths

Italy has recorded its highest daily rise in COVID-19 deaths, with 919 new fatalities. It brings the country’s coronavirus death toll to 9,134.

Shit.

More people have died of SARS2 in Italy than ever had SARS1.

Whose Chris Whitty?

He was the fuckwit that thought us catching it all was a great plan.

David Ickes assessment of the situation.

Quite interesting what he says about the testing.

I would be interested to hear what our resident experts think.

What does he say?

I find this line of reasoning odd. I'm not a psychic but the direction of travel is clear. As I've stated previously at one point in history a single individual had died in the U.K. from Spanish Flu.

I've no vested interest in assuming the sky is falling in. However I suspect the construction of emergency hospitals and morgues isn't being done on a whim. More likely (for me at least) is that Whitty and Vallance fucked this up and know what the likely consequences are. That's why we'll be in full lockdown by Monday evening.

This picture frame is appearing on more and more people's Farcebook pages.

Front line doctors, nurses and mediacal technicians are doing a great front line job in my opinion, but too many other NHS staff are basking in other people's glory.

What does he say?

He says many people will have a Coronavirus of some description in their bodies and that's why there are many people that show no symptoms because they have small amounts of other Coronavirus's in their body.

He reckons that it is very difficult to differentiate COVID-19 from other Coronavirus's in your body.

I am considering visiting Scafell Pike on weekend. It's a long drive (6 hours?) so it would be better to stay somewhere overnight.  However, all places on hotels.com are saying that I may be asked for proof of essential travel.
Has anyone had any luck booking a hotel recently? I could call directly and ask. Or, any advice on camping in the wild?
Worst case scenario, I'd drive there in the evening and sleep in a car for a bit.
I also cannot find any information on the current state of the car parks there. Open or closed etc.

Just been in the kitchen for an early lunch / late breakfast, looked in the fridge, now thinking can't open that, dates ok on that, don't want to waste that etc.
Whole different mindset, thinking what should I eat.
Noticed a tomato was on the turn so
      1 Tomato (sliced)
      2 Slices Bread (toasted)
      Cheese sliced.
Tomato slices griddled with twist of black pepper, light sprinkling of salt and splash of vinegar for 3 to 4 mins until soft.
      Assemble on toast.
      Marvellous
