The number of "classic" films I haven't actually seen is legion.

It's mainly because I'm not a great fan of the ninety minutes to two hour running time which, without an exceptional script and director, is insufficient for proper character development.

I find film characters to be generally two dimensional cyphers and stereotypes about whom I care little do am unmoved by their deaths.

Long form TV series are ten times better.

1 and 5 look interesting to me - I'll seek them out.

A recent sci-fi film that I think is really good is Life:

A nice tale of fucking about with stuff in a lab, that doesn't end well for humanity.  Obviously, very far-fetched 9_9

Barry Lyndon is a masterpiece and in two parts. I assume there was an intermission when it showed in cinemas. Moon took me by surprise as I incorrectly assumed that if it was good, I would have seen it by now. I'll say nothing more.

Life is amazing and underrated imo.

I still haven't seen "It's a wonderful life"

A great film but somewhat overrated. Still essential viewing though.

Let's make it a triology of Life films and include Life Is Beautiful.

Given current opinion of the msm, 'Nothing Sacred'. (1937)

From one of the reviews on imdb:

The point of the film is to make fun of phony sentimentalism, sanctimonious posturing, and the general tendency of the media to put profit ahead of grace, dignity, and the simple truth.
