Video Editing Software

Recommended Posts

You know those videos that are popping up on YouTube where people individually play instruments, record it and then mix it together with other performers to make a full song?

For example:

....does anyone know what software you use to do this? Preferably something free....people are doing these all over YouTube but neither YouTube nor google has a tutorial on how to do them.

I think even the one which comes with Windows could do that. I've only ever fiddled with it a little bit though.

Aye maybe it's just as simple as that - if I don't find anything solid tonight I'll give the standard windows one a shot tomorrow.

Pretty sure you can do it with most video suites that you pay for. Adobe, Sony etc. I doubt a freebie editor would do it.

I think you will have to pay for something that is easy to use.

You may find the product is based on this....

Something I used for work, recording videos.

I’ve never done anything like that,  but something free like Audacity will let you mix the sound together.  Once you’ve got the sound as you want it combined into a single track,  I’d then create the video composition to go with it.

Just about any video editor should be able to do that..  it’s pretty much all a video editor is/does.   The hard bit would be getting the video and audio to sync I imagine.

Whether there is a specialist suite that will make that whole job easier.. I’m sure someone will comment shortly.
