Are they forced to opt you back in every year? I have an employer that doesn’t make any contributions (there’s a loophole that they use) so would rather pay into a SIPP as opposed to the choice of 10 funds in the pension scheme work offer. Having to go through the rigmarole of opting out every year is painful.

To be fair it’s every 3 years and it’s the goverment not my firm but I’ve not got long to get the forms off otherwise they keep last months contributions which is 135 quid

I’ve opted in since the start, but only because it is a very small diversification of my portfolio (that sounds like a load of money, it’s not) away from boring savings and assets to the world of “spin the wheel, place your bets”, and the boss has to put more in than me in a way.

Not for me the lottery of stocks and shares, PM’s etc....although I do play the lottery, which is obviously a sure fire winner 😁
