Global reset.

Here's Trumps nominee for the FED board. She has long argued for a return to the Gold standard.

It was obvious from day one that the cure was far far worse than the disease

Not sure that's entirely true. Back in January people here were getting proper panicked with what now know was apocalypse porn propaganda from Chy-na.

I think you were the first and most consistent to keep calm and carry on.

I was more wait and see until I started seeing first hand what was actually going on in hospitals.

The reset that didn't happen in 2008-9 must surely happen now.

Following the humiliating sacking of the incompetent wanker seemingly single-handedly running Britain for the past couple of months, I feel that today has been the great turning point in public opinion, there is now a critical mass of people who recognise what a ludicrous and damaging over-reaction this has all been. There seems to be a relaxation in several countries all over the world, the football is starting next week in Germany. I think that this whole disaster is nearly over!

But we need to ensure that something like this never happens again. The corona crybabies need to be mocked and ridiculed mercilessly, for a long period of time. We have here an absolutely incontrovertible argument in the idiocy of the state and the cravenness of the Fake News. This is a devastating propaganda hammer blow for our side. Never let the statists and crybabies forget this.

I wonder if Nervous Neil realises that there will be enormous numbers of people who will lose their jobs, livelihoods or businesses because of him and will be aching for revenge, that all of the papers will hang him out to dry, and that he is highly recognisable.

He obviously wasnt a wanker.

And its Professor Pantsoff.

Neil was a pawn.  As were we all.

What has needed to be achieved has been achieved.

Global reset.

This was my thought too.  But what are you basing the assertion that the reset has already been achieved? I haven't heard of one currency being reformed yet. No-one's even talking about it yet. They have only just this week started sending out economic stress signals re furlough and the "biggest recession on record". Yeah it's called a depression! But acknowledgement of a reset is still months away I feel. The markets have yet speak on the issue.

Plenty I knew in real life were just the same; I would say the majority.

I certainly wasn't a lone voice at work in dismissing the whole palaver as utter mentalness so don't claim to be done sort of visionary.

This was the majority view of the working age people I knew yet the media ignored that and pushed the "all in it together" wartime blitz spirit like it was the second coming of the Black Death.

It would be merely exasperating were the effects of the lockdown not so dreadfully bad; as it stands the behaviour of the "experts", government and media are criminal.

A doctor on the BBC reckoned the death rate as low as 0.1% and as high as 1.0% yesterday. If the former, then even if the entire population gets it that's only 65,000 deaths. Yet we already expect 60,000  premature deaths from Cancer over the next decade associated with paused treatment or late diagnosis.

I think they have got it wrong too. More deaths most likely in the future and a destroyed economy to boot.

One geriatric in the hand is worth saving for ten young people in the bush later

Gone off the Tories I am afraid.

Overreaction?

But we locked down later and less than virtually everyone else. Isn't that what the media have been bitching about for weeks?

Now they're bitching it was too much entirely?

Wild overreaction.

Just because Spain was even worse doesn't excuse our government.

What we have seen is

- an initial complete under reaction from the government, & failure to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation

Followed by

- a complete over reaction by the government, where the cure was worse than the disease

But if you think this thing is all over, you are totally wrong imo. In fact, a lot of the posts on here just seem moronic

Surely this virus’ second coming will be like Dracula compared to the vampire bat and the whole world will be like the zombies of the Rage Virus, forcing the last life form on Earth to exit like the cockroach in the final scene of Team America: World Police?

60,000 die each winter in the UK in a bad, but not exceptional, flu season.

Mostly through the flu exacerbating underlying conditions or general frailty.

There was a very mild flu season this year so that 60,000 didn't happen.

If we had changed nothing bar ramping up the NHS  a bit do you think that the number dying from CV19 this year would have been in the hundreds of thousands or about 60,000.

I thought, and think, the latter.

It isn't flu but it is a virus that kills the same people as the flu.

If we are going to do this economic self-immolation for CV19 then we should also do it the next time we get a winter flu strain that wasn't one of the variants included in the annual vaccination because the effects will be identical in terms of body count.

"One of the stats most commonly latched on to by lockdown sceptics is the number of people who would normally be dying at this time of year in the absence of coronavirus because it seems to show there’s been no increase (or, rather, it did before the death toll began to peak). According to the ONS, deaths mentioning COVID-19, influenza or pneumonia in Week 13 of 2020 (March 20th – 27th) were 18.8% of all deaths, whereas the five year average puts deaths mentioning influenza or pneumonia at 19.6% of the total. "

The best thing Boris can come out with on Monday would be:

"I'm sorry we were wrong. We listened to an expert who was wrong and have damaged people's lives, careers, businesses and education by acting upon that wrong advice.

We will recompense everyone in full for losses up to this date but now I'd the time to return to normal.

I am in charge, the responsibility for these actions rests with me, and therefore I feel that I have no alternative but to tender my resignation to the Queen.

Once again I can only apologise for the damage that our mistaken policy has caused."

Not much chance of Bozza changing tack. He's probably a vitamin D deficient obese man and he will let his personal experience of Covid 19 affect his judgement.

Personally I'm hoping it leads to the mother of all crashes so the more incompetent the Government the better.

Every time I see massive job losses announced on the tv I think 'Goody goody gumdrops' xD

Sounds mean I know but I'm tired of the sheep that inhabit this country and have allowed criminal scum of all colours to sell us out to the globalists for decades now. So long as they're alright they haven't given a shit at how bad it's gotten for a lot of people in the UK.

Last place I worked was for a Government department where you need a SC clearance to work with sensitive data. The place was stuffed with nice and cheap Indians who could barely speak English. No SC clearance, no problem, have a ganders at this data over here. I've worked for dozens of big corporations over the last couple of decades, every single one stuffed with cheap Labour. Actually, the smaller companies have been as well.

Then there were the planes of fruit pickers flown in while half the country is unemployed. They're taking the piss out of us big time and will not give up their slaves until they are forced to.

That's why I want the country to crash and fucking burn - BIG TIME - serious hardship all round. It's the only thing that will wake the dozy cunts up in this country and get them screaming for better Government.

I know of somebody who just got gifted £10k from the Government for their flat which they're currently AirBnBing. Can't blame them for taking every penny they can get, everybody needs to do the same until it all collapses, but god I'm fed up with the cretins running this country, God knows how many billions have been given to people for owning a second home.

I bet when the economy reopens the first thing they'll do is start encouraging the third world labour again while many of us are out of work.

I often wonder if the people in charge understand the level of hatred for them that has been building for decades and how dangerous this could ultimately be for them.

First signs of a bailouts for banks or corporations we will know we have been betrayed again.

Full on Iceland this time.

Gosh, some bloke on youtube says that Trump's gonna clean the swamp. Hurrah! Let's hope that he's better at predictions than getting wiped out in 2008 would lead one to believe.

He's a view from a wall street guy you might have heard of, Michael Lewis (the author of the big short) being interviewed (on R4, sorry) yesterday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000htvy @2:45:55 - introduced with the question "Are we going to governed better as a result of the Corona Virus"
