Lost luggage - body discovered in suitcase carried by couple

Recommended Posts

A MAN and woman have been arrested after they were 'found walking down a street carrying a human torso in a suitcase'.

Police have now launched a murder probe - with it understood more body parts have been found in the surrounding area in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire.

It is understood the pair - a woman in her twenties from Birmingham and a man in his thirties from Wolverhampton - had been walking along a road near Coleford, Glos, when a passing police officer became suspicious of them and stopped to ask what was in the case.

Police were today granted an extra 36-hours to question the two people.

Detectives sealed off a large area of the Forest yesterday, with a number of forensic tents set up as work to identify the victim continues.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: "Forensic testing is ongoing to establish the identity of the victim after human remains were found by police shortly after 11.30pm on Tuesday 12 May.

"A post-mortem examination is also taking place.:

Yesterday, police confirmed they had closed off the scene near the A4136 between Monmouth and Coleford.

They said: "Shortly after 11.30pm last night, Tuesday 12 May, officers discovered suspected human remains.

"Cordons are likely to remain in place for the rest of the day while enquiries continue to establish what has taken place and further forensic tests are being carried out on the remains.

"A woman from Birmingham aged in her 20s and a man from Wolverhampton aged in his 30s have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the investigation and remain in police custody today, Wednesday 13 May."

A pandemic lockdown is not the best time to try and dispose of a body. What on earth have these two done?

Grisly. Drunken argument turned nasty, resulting in an accidental killing? Hide the body I'm the woods, innit?!

Brum/Wolv - possible muzzer.

Being caught carrying a suitcase in Forest of Dean - EE

No, no. The report said they were from these two english cities. They have therefore got to have been born there. :)

It's a long way from Birmingham / Wolverhampton.

One thing the Forest is very much known for is drugs and the ages and towns of origin fit with this.

Drugs deal gone wrong, associate overdosed.

The chopping up means they either did not buy a big enough suit case.

Or Chinese triad choppy choppy.

Torso in the suitcase?

I wonder about the contents of her handbag?

I don't dare guess what they'd have in a sack.🎱

Imagine if Sherlock Holmes was operating today.

'Good Lord Holmes, it's a torso in a suitcase. The work of Muzzers, surely?'

'Not so fast, Watson. That is exactly what the murderer wishes us to think.'

'You don't mean...far right extremists, Holmes?'

'No, Watson...somebody very cleverly wanted us to think that it was a far right white man pretending to be a Muzzer...which means only one conclusion - that it is actually an Israeli Jew pretending to be an EE!'

(of course it would all be banned and Watson would be arrested for writing about it, so Benderdick Cumsplash would never get to play the part.)
