Anyway what’s it like I know our Muzza friends like it so to do Africans .whats the simplest way of cooking it does it go with chips and can you make a lobby out of it .ps do Tesco sell it .

don't think you can get it in Tescos.

Find a halal butcher.  I stick it in the pressure cooker with this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Betapac-Curry-Powder-Large-450g/dp/B003SDKM0O

I get half shoulder (with bones) and half  leg all chopped up.

Spanish goat stew is great, one of my favourite evening meals on surf trips. You can probably find a recipe online.  But from memory they cook it slow for many hours, so it probably would be tough eaten any other way.

Yes, it is tough and senewy, on account of the physically tough lives that goats endure in their natural habitat.

Therefore it needs to be slow-cooked for a long time.

Not bad eating when done well, though.

40 min in a pressure cooker and it falls off the bone.

Slow cooked with your choice of mild spices, eat it with Matoke (boiled cornmeal and plantain mash)...you just reminded me how much I really miss it.

The comments here are making me question my memory.

I had it often in Morocco during a 4 wk trip years ago. My friend ordered the food on that trip. After a while I ventured it was the best lamb I had ever had.

Dunce was then told it was goat.

I havent had since mainly as Frank points out, the method of slaughter for most of it.

Isnt there some illegal fad of burning them alive with blow torches? Smokies?

It was in the news years ago.

Memory might be wrong on it. Sure it was about 15 years ago.

I remember reading about it at some point.  Double checked and they seem to be torched carcasses thankfully
