Odds on that RT are stirring it up and standing back.

This is goodwill from Beijing,”tweeted Hu Xijin, editor in chief of the Chinese newspaper Global Times, adding that “the Chinese side doesn’t want people of the two countries to compare the casualties number so to avoid stoking public mood.”

“I want to tell the Indian side, don’t be arrogant and misread China’s restraint as being weak. China doesn’t want to have a clash with India, but we don’t fear it,” Hu added.

Why are people fighting over mountains..? o.O

It is a bit of land that separates China from Pakistan via Kashmir. If only Indian would bugger off then Pakistan could have the whole of Kashmir and China would have better supply routes through Pakistan to Iranian oil.

Or maybe they all like snow.

This is arguably more of an issue than the South China sea area.

Two hardcore nationalists. Face to face.

Likely some retaliation from india.  Ego issues. Plus they dont take shit of late.

I doubt much further. Off memory its a bulge into Indian Territory..higher ground to. Strategic advantage

There was an issue 18 months ago in this area off memory.

Fairly clear at the moment...Russian borders excepted...China is sabre rattlingling around its borders.

Its how far you push Nationalist Modi.

Hes been quite prepared to throw the Western view towards Islam.

Will call it a spat for now. India was for my part, meant to be the new China after the bank collapse. It didnt happen.

I dont think these two giants will ever be friends.

It is grumbling on out there in the South Asia border.

There really seems to be something special about the US and by defacto links, arguably the UK, concerns re the Russian S400 system.

This antiballistic missile set up has gradually been getting mainstream air time this last year or so in the west. The S500 system remains an internet based threat still.

If you havent a clue what I am in about then in essence..the threat of Reagans Star Wars produced this outcome. Russia then developed an antiballistic missile system. The west has THAD. As noted in the Korean penninsula.

China have purchased into the S 400 system to. The first foriegn buyer allowed back in 2014. And India. Now thats a bind.  For Russia. The same system sold to increasing enemies  is even more of an an issue with the Indian joint venture of the Sukhoi Su 57 fifth generation aircraft fighter.

This article from Doomsberg talks of US threats..or maybe alliance..to India if they seek to buy the S400. The F22 Raptor and the F35 multi role fighter come under scrutiny and risk if the S 400 and future S500 systems are as good as they fear. Before you moan and ask of the relevance we are first tier one partners..balls deep in payments for this fifth generation fighter programme. Some Ruskie missile system that upsurps this costs in more ways than one.

The US seem to fear the S400 as seen in recent years in Syria.

In the midst of our Corona fuck up, India is quietly becoming a serious issue in terms of western allies and future war.

All this complicated by the above.

Watch Russia. They will give the evening hand in this case. They surely have to side with one of them.

The US is clearly making overtures to India. Further news alleged by the US today of the China/ India clashes being pre planned by China.

Russia has a big oil deal with China.

In terms of the 400's it will be interesting to see how well they operate at altitude in that mountainous terrain of sharp peaks, deep twisting valleys. A nightmare for fighters which will have to reduce speed considerably to navigate the twists and turns. Will the 400's missiles be able to maintain lock? In theory they will not be slowed by the tremendous G forces of twisting and turning in pursuit of those fighters. Yep, India needs the 400 system otherwise it will find that China's own 400 systems dominate the air space.

The US could feck it up and we end up with a China-Russia-India alliance. That would be a nightmare for a US and Europe which are falling apart.

The crappiness of the F-35 is just being exposed more and more.

666

There was a bizarre thing going on with google yesterday where is you typed in any 3 digit number into google search it returned a COVID story with that exact number of infections, deaths, whatever. I tried numerous numbers before I got bored but failed to think of 666.
