Wigan placed into administration to win a bet?

Recommended Posts

This foreign ownership of clubs is marvellous doncherknow.

Full story at thread; purely speculation at this stage but it does answer one big question: Why would somebody buy a football club and then seven days later put it into administration so near-guaranteeing it being relegated?

They are staffed by ex footballers. Who headed the ball too much.

As if we ever doubted it, despite being from Middlesbrough you're also a football expert now Pele.

There's only one "heed-the-ball" round here pal - and that's fucking you...

EFL waived through the takeover.

They are complicit.

There is no 'fit and proper' test for owners in the EFL, just a 'are you disqualified as a director / bankrupt' test.

Look at the guy who bought Reading.

I still think that the guy who had Cagliari, moved the team to the mainland and built a deathtrap stand out of scaffolding poles takes the biscuit.

He ended up at Leeds.

More cut of your gib. Easily overcome by money.

I still cant work out why these dodgy spics  think they are doing, or how they are going to squeeze cash out. I've count of how many bsnkrupt/crime spic businessmen have had a go in the leagues.

The ownership rules might be bent but, despite what you might think, company assets n cash are less so.
