Well, Dublin is closer to me than London is.

It is interesting that the Irish Police entered this club. For years British Plod used to have a habit of turning up at UK fetish clubs and having a walk around staring at people. Usually some suspicion of drugs or someone in danger or whatever.

Fetish clubs are full of women in stockings, suspenders, corsets, high heels or themes thereon. Or less. Lots of fun for Plod wanting to have a nose. That all changed during the Blair years when the UK passed a law or two and also adopted the EU Human Rights stuff. Overnight Plod stopped visiting the fetish clubs - well, when on duty anyhow ;)

Eire has the same EU Human Rights laws so it will be interesting to know how they felt able to enter the club. It has a negative affect if they think such people in them are pervs and they just want to crack down on them. Some people will stay away but others will just be forced even further underground - and that may not be safe.

There's been a few news stories during lockdown about cracking down on BDSM. Prude May set the ball rolling and now we see claims of BDSM being used as a cover for domestic violence - a crackdown on the so-called 50 Shades defence. Methinks something more is at work here. Perhaps it is simply that the elite don't like the plebs sharing some of their favourite hobbies.

It is also interesting that many of the LGBTQ - is that enough letters or are there more now? - seem oblivious to any of this going on, especially as so many of them dress in black and walk around wearing studded collars and wrist cuffs. Yeah, their Goths really.

Tell the governbankment that the sector is struggling, then they might do 50% discounts Mon to Wed for @The Masked Tulip
