Covid Migrants

I posted this figure elsewhere but 11,000 migrants arrived in Italy last week alone, a large number from Tunisia. Many are claiming asylum due to the risk of Covid-19 in their own countries. Ok it is the main boating season but that half a million people per year arriving just in Italy. Given the panic in Morocco what are the Spanish figures like?

So young men in their twenties with a million to one chance of dying even if they get Covid think that's a good enough reason to claim asylum. I'm guessing the EU will agree.

My guess is they will - there is a meeting this week to discuss the issue.

Austin Allegro

When's the cut off date for people to arrive in the UK from the EU freely?

I guess there will be a rush to beat that, although I am pretty sure in practice it won't make much difference as the borders will be open and the bennies available in perpetuity anyway.
