Mr Piers Corbyn (Jeremy's more sensible brother) has been fined £10,000 for organising the anti-Lockdown demonstration in London.

It might not have been to everyone's taste but at least someone had the courage to stand up and be counted and he shouldn't have to be out of pocket because of it.

There' s a subscription set up to help him and I urge Dosbodders to chip in a pound or two for this most worthy cause.

Fined for organising a demonstration? FFS my opinion of Britain just sank even lower.

Dont people have the right to demonstrate here? And £10k? Clearly the so called judiciary are working along the same lines as banging someone up for 6 months for stealing a bottle of water, just because there was a riot occurring at the same time.

The simultaneous demonstrations in Berlin were allowed to go ahead despite the best efforts of an SPD politician (ex SED, East German socialist party) who banned it only to have the ban overturned by the constitutional court, since the right to hold a peaceful demonstration is enshrined in the constitution there.

Sorry I'm not donating. He should not have been fined in the first place.

The demo was organised with the help of police but Piers says in the video above another group of police turned up and threw him jail for 10 hours and issued a bogus fine.

Piers says it was politically motivated and blames Sadiq Khan. He also says he will not pay it and will pursue this through the courts.

Funny old world, I never thought I'd fine myself agreeing with a Corbyn. xD

There was a BLM protest on the same day.  I saw them myself.  The roads were shut.

The 'lockdown protest' didn't close any roads.

Taking bets on BLM organiser getting a fine.

Fair enough, but my hope is that by donating, it will show the Establishment that there is a lot of support for this action and that fines will not, therefore, be a deterrent to others.

I am pretty sure Mr Corbyn will need the money for the coming legal battle even if he doesn't end up paying the fine.

I'm not donating. I agreed with the principle of the march but not the lunatics that were speaking. Each 5g, plandemic etc. speaker they have loses them credibility.

I think a lot of people thought the government were slow to react, when they did react they overacted, and then have been too slow to react again to get back to normality. There were some criminal failures such as discharging known covid patients to care homes, restricting treatment for care home patients. Believing that dickhead Neil Ferguson when his voice was one of many. Running the NHS as a covid only service for months etc. A lot of people would agree with these sentiments and would protest based on them but run a mile when people start talking about 5g.

I completely agree - I have my own unrelated concerns about how 5G tech will be used, but I can't stand the '5G causes COVID' lot.

I consider them a deliberate attempt to discredit legitimate causes.  The same way that flat earth, planet Niburu, sun simulator (Really) dickheads mysteriously turn up on YouTube vids that challenge the CO2 global warming narrative.

This just got weird. Obviously I didn't initiate this.  More foul play?

Just got the same. Can't find anything on Mr Corbyn's Twitter about it though. Wonder if he even knows?

I think this should be brought to the attention of the MSM - not quite sure what the best way to go about it is though because it needs to be shown to someone reasonably sympathetic.

Failing that I'll see if I can get the alt-media involved, it's the sort of thing Mahyar Tousi is quite good at analysing.

Just checked, a lot of people are mentioning the refund on Mr Corbyn's twitter feed, seems like Go Fund Me reset it for some reason. Some people are paying again. Obviously something dodgy going on.

Edit: 404 Not Found error constantly when I try to click on the donate button.

Agreed there seemed to be the full spectrum out there on first glance.  However still hugely important to be able to actually have the ability to demonstrate without being later ensnared by Draconian fines.

Whilst piers is maybe a nutjob (?) It is worrying that a fine like this is placed.   Kind of thing that makes me more ingrained to oppose the government or any opposition to free speech, even if I'm not agreeing with it all.

The whip-round for Piers has been deleted/defunded by somebody/something.

Edit: being a bit slow, been caught already.

That's where valid movements are getting written off as conspiracy theories - they don't have clear and concise messages. The nature of social media and the business model of David Icke et al requires them to produce vast quantities of mostly nonsense content in which the central core message gets lost. 5G is probably the worst example with non techy people blithering on about mind control rays and microwaving your insides and not asking if society wants or needs superfast internet everywhere and discussing the pros and cons of the internet of things, surveillance and data collection. The silent majority knows there is something amiss with lockdowns and covid regs but they need leaders with a clearer message.
