French must be a nightmare for Les Woke. What definite article do you use if you can’t work out if an object identifies as non binary and would be offended if you got it wrong?

Fuck me. I was confused with the op but this just takes it to a new level of not understanding for me.  o.O

wtf is this thread actually about?

Everyone.

You come in, go round the room shaking hands, making small talk.

It can take 30min in a small room.

It's not just a room. When walking around with my French boss he literally shook the hand of everyone he passed in the corridor, everyone in the lift, everyone everywhere.

Not any more!

Masks obligatory at work now even outdoors at the French site.  (I haven’t been in and am fucked if I will unless they threaten me with the sack)

Woke French culture minister appoints woke English head of theatre..  who does a load of unpopular woke shite to suit her own ego/agenda while being obnoxious to those around her..  then gets booted out and goes sobbing to the Guardian for sympathy.

At least..  that’s as far as I can understand it.

Me thinks it could have something to do with those little slanted lines they put above certain letters in a word which defines a word as masculine or feminine

But i might be as confused as you and dreamt the above as 1980 was my last French lesson if you discount many visits to Eastender`s

Aww, bless. Don't worry, we'll give you an A* and a Double First because, as you know, words have no absolute meaning, therefore the thread can be about anything that enters your head. What's that you're saying? Gin? The thread is about gin?

I noticed that. Everyone shakes hands, and says "bonjour". It's quite nice really.

It works for he French who just go into work to see their mistress.

Less so for the few who go into work.

French lefties (ie, most of them) are the original champagne socialists. They call them 'gauches-caviares' I believe. They want a communist revolution but only if they can keep their large city centre apartments with Louis-quinze furniture, their wine cellars and their country villas. Even the most 'enlightened' French lefties don't seem to like immigrants, at least not in the way that our lot adores them, so it's hardly surprising she got the push.

My apartment now has a wine cellar.

The bloke below me was a bit miffed when I lowered a ladder through his ceiling.
