unclickable twitter links

Recommended Posts

I keep seeing this sort of thing, often from SarahBell,  but the example below is from Hapax

It looks like it is the alt-text that is displayed.
If someone quotes the post, the link becomes active, which made me think the URL must be present in the html, which it is

<div data-role='commentContent' class='ipsType_normal ipsType_richText ipsContained'
<img alt="EhBqSlNWsAAZqXl?format=png&name=small" class="ipsImage"
     data-ratio="84.11" height="508" style="height:auto;" width="604"
     src="https://www.dosbods.co.uk/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

If I paste https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EhBqSlNWsAAZqXl?format=png into my browser bar, up pops the joke or whatever it is...

Example of a quoted post:

<div class="ipsQuote_contents ipsClearfix">
<a href="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EhBqSlNWsAAZqXl?format=png&amp;name=small"
   title="Enlarge image" rel="external nofollow noopener" target="_blank">
  <img alt="EhBqSlNWsAAZqXl?format=png&amp;name=small" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed"
       data-ratio="84.11" style="height:auto;"
       id="ips_uid_5484_15" data-loading="true" width="604" height="508"></a>

It seems, by quoting, the img src has changed from spacer.png on the Dosbods site to the actual image on the twitter site.

The XYY Man

I would very much prefer it if all those brain-rot Twitter links didn't work at all.

I mean what sort of soft twat would "follow" someone...?

Dunno about you daft cunts, but I follow no man except myself...
