Chris Whitty - how long left?

Recommended Posts

He's clearly an intelligent chap but I fear he hasn't got the mental fortitude when things get tough. The wobbly resignation attempt indicates he knows he's got things wrong and will be the fall guy.

His type live for the adulation of their intellect. This will be mocked in the coming months.

How long has he got left in his role?

I'm obviously not hinting at anything worse...

Haven't been following him.

What's he done/not done ? What's this resignation attempt ? i'm curious to know.

I'm conflicted about him. I've seen and walked away from too many of the type that live for the adulation, rise to advsor level, but whose reputations aren't based upon real credibility, and you can see this type of person in their face (credible scientists often don't seek these positions.) I think I recognise some of what I've described in others in Whitty's face. His CV looks good as does his long list of publications, but that doesn't necessarily means anything. But at the same time he has occasionally spoken some common biological sense that has made me think I'm completely wrong in his case. Such common sense that it has almost struck me as "off-message" at the time.

I think he fully knows what needs to happen (end lockdown), fully knows what is best for his career (obfuscate) and fully knows what is best for his life (support government).

We've got the luxury on this forum not to need to make that decision and just pontificate. Sometimes we don't realise that.

I agree with your last sentence 100%, the decisions are very tough.

Regarding Whitty though, or any scientist, they shouldn't favour their career or their life. They really shouldn't, speaking as a scientist.

Not seen him since the daily updates stopped. Always got the impression he was sick of having to deal with fuckwits.

Boris, Raaaaaab, Hand cock, etc on one side, journalists on the other.

I respect the chap. I suspect he's close to a breakdown.

Hope its not another Dr Kelly moment.

Sometimes government scientists get to know too much for their own long-term good health.

I think it will be. He doesn't look the sort capable of defending a media onslaught.

Whitty was/is a Gates minion.

It's beyond a fucking joke that people do not have a fucking clue that many scientists like politicians are bought and paid for...

People in their 50s and 60s have never considered the possibility that scientists can be corrupt too. A big flaw of their generation.

Bollocks.

I'm 55, and in my time I have seen plenty of corrupt behaviour from all walks of life. Scientists are no different.

You are right when you say that I don't consider it mind.

I am a person who 100% fucking expects it...

I agree.

I seen plenty of corrupt scientists, many don't even realise they are corrupted since being corrupt doesn't mean fabricating data, there are many ways that corruption can occur, it could simply be looking for data that fits a narrative or, more sinisterly,  delaying or rejecting the publication of other's work because it's a 'spoiler'.

But we shouldn't chuck the baby out with the bath water.

There are many scientists that put themselves last.

More time to spend with his Gates millions.

Zero fucks to give.

Every time you hear a fear monger on MSM google their name along with gates foundation. You may need to go at one removed to get a link. IE a University etc but often youll find a link.

Yesterday it was Queens Uni Belfast with some shite about upset stomachs in kids ALSO being Covid symptoms.

Links aplenty to his patronage over the years.

Its fucking strange not one "journalist" can be arsed to do this.....

When i say "strange" i mean entirely predictable. When i  say "journalist" i mean press release recycling cunt..

Record cases across Europe. Hospital admissions increasing at an alarming rate in France. Zero evidence that Covid is any less lethal than before. We will be thinking about a national lockdown again by Oct/Nov.

The only reason cases and deaths dropped was due to the lockdown. With everything opened up and Winter we will see it come back with deadly impact. France and Spain are beginning to see it now.

Whitty has been and still is absolutely correct. What is he supposed to have done wrong?

Choose a fear. Choose a phobia. Choose a bogeyman. Choose a terror. Choose a fucking big scamdemic. Choose propaganda machines, vaccines, contact tracing and technocracy... Choose MSM and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit crushing news reports, stuffing pills into your mouth. Choose rotting away in the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable COVID quarantine, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up masklets you spawned to replace yourself, choose your future. Choose fear...

I chose not to choose fear.

I chose something else.

Dunno. Apparently we could go to casino or bowling alley but not have a cup of tea in the garden with anyone.

What these scientists who accept political appointments so seldom seem to realise is that, no matter how great a scientist they are, the politicians will be way better at politics that they are.

[Indeed, if you did have a scientist whose political capability was superior to Machiavelli, then the politicians would ensure that they'd never get promoted into a political role in the first place.  And, if they did enter politics, they'd make sure that they weren't at the mercy of the other politicians.]

He is no different from most of the Lackeys in this government.

A trading card. A shield for the core. Picked, mostly in my view, for their prowess in self belief. Yes..most politico types have this, true.  Picked for those who will go for it.

Expendable assets.

Whitty looked notabaly more gaunt by the end of the daily instructions several weeks back.

An indication of how things are centrally, perhaps noted by J Hunt MP who this week said he dodged a bullet in the leadership campaign.

There will be many who will stand up and replace them, even Whitty should he go.

Its the back benchers and Sir Graham Brady who, not now,  but will start to chart the future direction IMO.

Whitty. What ever. Theres always an ego to replace him.
