COVID-19 and George Floyd protests[edit]

On May 27, 2020, Kendi appeared before the United States House Committee on Ways and Means about the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on African Americans, saying: “This is the racial pandemic within the viral pandemic.”[5][28][29]

Kendi has been a long-time outspoken critic of police involved killings of black men and women.[5] In 2020, speaking to The New York Timesafter How to Be an Antiracist saw renewed interest during the George Floyd protests, Kendi called the mood in the United States during the protests "a signature, significant distinct moment of people striving to be antiracist."[30]

Before the protests, Kendi published a proposal for a Constitutional Amendment in the US to establish and fund the Department of Anti-racism (DOA). This department would be responsible for “preclearing all local, state and federal public policies to ensure they won’t yield racial inequity, monitor those policies, investigate and be empowered with disciplinary tools to wield over and against policymakers and public officials who do not voluntarily change their racist policy and ideas.”[31]

Adoption of black children[edit]

President Donald Trump's third Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett adopted two of her seven children from an orphanage in Haiti; she was nominated to the court on September 26, 2020. On September 27, 2020, Kendi tweeted: "Some White colonizers 'adopted' Black children. They 'civilized' these 'savage' children in the 'superior' ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity. And whether this is Barrett or not is not the point. It is a belief too many White people have: if they have or adopt a child of color, then they can't be racist."[32] While Kendi received support from some online,[33]there was also a substantial backlash against him.[34][35]

he also seems to be fond of cultural appropriation

In 2013, Kendi married Sadiqa Kendi, a pediatric emergency medicine doctor,[4] in Jamaica in a ceremony officiated by Kendi's parents.[36] The wedding ceremony ended with a naming ceremony of their new last name, "Kendi", which means "the loved one" in the language of the Meru people of Kenya.[36] Kendi changed his middle name to Xolani, a Xhosa and  Zulu word for "peace."[9][7]

I’m an illustrator + visual artist born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I’m currently based in Echo Park, Los Angeles. I like to eat noodles and sit in the sun like a sleepy cat.

I use illustration and visual art as a tool to strengthen social movements for racial justice, immigrant justice, climate justice, mental health and LGBTQIA+ liberation. I think that in order to tear down harmful systems, we need to be able to envision a world without them. I’m trying to draw what that world looks like.

I would say that that is a self-evident truth.

If you are racist to even the mildest degree, whether you are white, black, yellow or brown, then you are not in a million years going to adopt a child of another race.

End of argument.

And this dickwad is saying that isn't the case; that Amy is actually showing her hatred of black people by adopting black children.

The man is insane.

Isn't there research to show that babies want to play with their own kind?

Could babies start showing racist traits before they mumble their first word?

That’s the finding of two new studies out of the University of Toronto, published recently in the journal Child Development.

The first study had infants listen to either happy or sad music, and then look at pictures of adult faces. Infants between 6 and 9 months looked at faces of their own race for longer after listening to happy music, and faces of other races for longer after listening to sad music. It’s not clear why the infants made these associations.

This is why I'm out, I won't engage. In an argument where to the other party any view you hold or any action you take somehow proves and strengthens their point is completely and utterly pointless.

There is the problem right there: describing it as racist.

There is considerable evolutionary advantage to belonging to a tribe; membership of which will bring you protection, shelter and food.

This is hardwired into every animal's DNA.

Wolves do not welcome incomers into their packs or wander into another pack.  They will be attacked.

With whom are you most safe?  Other people like you.

With whom are you least safe?  People least like you.

Through 99.99% of human history people such as the below would not have survived to adulthood; they would have been killed by another tribe.

Yip, it's normal, natural, and right.

Realistically that kind of book would have a niche audience of the ultra-woke who may already be pre-programmed to liking it.

Rather than worry about being called a racist for refusing to buy/read a book telling you that you are a racist, I wish more people would state, as I do (and most of the 4BN people of Asia do) that, of course I am a racist. There are differences between people, largely based on ethnic, racial and cultural lines.

Those that deny this literally refuse to see.

Time for a racist joke:

An Englishman, a Welshman and an African man were in the waiting room of a maternity hospital when the power failed. The emergency generators also failed.

By the time power had been restored, all 3 men had become fathers.

The midwife says to them: 'Because of the power failure, we couldn't label the babies so we don't know which baby belongs to which father.'

The Welshman says: 'I'll sort this' and goes into the delivery unit. He returns with a black baby. 'This one is mine'.

The midwife says: 'Why do you think that baby is yours?'

Welshman replies: 'I don't, but I am fucking certain that it isn't English.'

Absolutely.  It is the natural state of being.

Obviously there are degrees of it but everyone is racist because it is an inbuilt trait.

The ones who say that they aren't are first lying and then secondly inverting their own basic impulses to say that they prefer another race over their own.  I think it's some humiliation / sex thing.

Like these pathetic fuckers who ought to be sacked for disgracing the uniform.

One wonders what people like Mr Kendi will do if he ever manages to defeat this 'racism' he seems to think is everywhere.

Surely he'll be out of a job?

There aren't many books around nowadays called 'antipolio baby' or 'antifeudal baby'.

I don't think he's thought this one through!

They then move onto equality.

Inequality is the natural state of being both from inherent attributes - healthy, intelligent, strong, tall, good looking - and from earned attributes - study hard, work hard, work smart.

You can not have equality without controlling every aspect of people's lives.

And that's what they want to do.

The Chief Exec will earn the same as the receptionist and they will both earn the same as the unemployed bloke sat outside smoking a fag in the sunshine.

They will all live in the same housing, drive the same model of car, and go to the same holiday camps.

And for anyone who doesn't like that the Khmer Rouge and Stalin for two have shown how you build a socialist utopia of true equality.

Cambodian%20Killing%20fields_20170826012

You build it on the bones of your victims.

Well, I don't understand the premise of the Antiracist-Baby, and I'm not going to bother to find out.

But I would say that it is a toddlers' book.  All they hear is 'blah blah blah de blah blah'.  So it can include all the wokeness that woke parents want, but it still won't stop their little terror growing into being a racist thug if that is what the cards hold for them.

So this was true of black infants too? They looked at faces of black infants for longer after happy music? So the black and white infants behaved in exactly the same way? So why the hell is this supposed to say anything about white =>black racism???
