Upgrade your watch to give it NFC support (contactless payment)?

Question

Is it possible to cut out the chip on your bank card and stick it to the inside of your watch - like a blingy gold Rolex, so you can impress the shop cashier?

My phone doesn't have NFC support (sad face) which means I can't download a bank app and use my phone to pay. I don't want to buy a smart watch.

I want to be edgy and different!

I would have thought the metal case might be a problem.  If you stick it on the inside of the glass part of the watch face it might work, but might make telling the time a little tricky.

I remember reading about people taking the nfc chip out of oyster cards and putting them into watches and rings, so it should work in principle.

The thing that would trip you up is that the contactless system seems to periodically require you to insert your card in a reader and enter the pin.

why not just use your bank card? that's different when all the other sad bastards are whipping out their iphones :P

personally I find it easier to use a bank card that is 1/50th the size of a mobile ;)
