I reckon Christmas 2020 can be written off with the virus. I see little chance that we'll be allowed out to socialise and ogle the hot admin girl at the office party.

This Christmas I reckon i will be:

1. Planting trees. I reckon I will plant about 200.

2. Out with shotgun and rifle.

3. Out with metal detector. I want to detect on a beach when it is quiet. I've also found a medieval farm that I can detect....

4. Posting sh1t here.

5. Fixing some old mechanical watches I've bought.

Anyone else doing much?

Everyone will be moaning about how they can't do stuff.  But everyone moans about everything these days*.

Instead, people should just be happy with whatever Christmas they get, rather than just comparing it the 'normal'.  I'll be happy to spend time with the wife and kids and undertake lots of vegging out -- rather than driving around everywhere and holding my tongue at stupid members of the extended family and their friends, etc.

[* The statement is in itself a moan about people moaning]

Well it may prove to be better than last year when I spent the day under the duvet sneezing non-stop temperature and hacking cough and with 4 hourly doses of paracetemol.  I didn't go to the planned get-together because I would have passed on my germs.

I keep saying it was an early case of CV-19 although sneezing isn't supposed to be a symptom.

Know someone who tested positive and had sneezing with it so wouldn't rule it out if you had the more certain things like complete loss of taste / smell - especially for a prolonged time afterwards and not just bunged up.

My hope for Christmas is that my immediate family stay healthy.

If they can do that, then I'm hoping this christmas will be like any other - all 4 of us together in my folk's house eating loads and watching the telly.

Shooting each other in the knees, and not mentioning the Pope?
