Ok I’m using self storage to store house stuff. It’s cheap ish for first month then they jack it up in price and looks secure. The Only odd thing is go there in the evenings and it looks like every man and his dog running ebay shops, a few at laptops working l, stock all out in corridors. Is this a this a thing ?

That’s how I ran mine many years back. Started from home 14 years ago, then to a storage place, but mainly used for picking and packing orders and freezing my tits off, then to a nice warm office and now in 2000 sq ft warehouse freezing tits off again.

My cousin had one in Reading while he was between houses.  Went one evening and the staff were in reception watching HIS telly!!

I remember when I was helping my sister move her stuff in and out of storage a few years back, a guy appeared to be using one as a fully functioning office complete with desk and a chair and power from an extension lead, he'd be in there all day and could hear him constantly on the phone.

I had a shopping container once, that place was sweet, occasionally someone else on site, tradesmen it looked like, own padlock on the container and it was big enough to fit whole house worth of shite in. If I remember right it was only about £100 a month.
