Covid has really shown what a greedy bunch of baby boomers we had/have

As far back as several years ago I used to be very dismissive of the old arguments about how the baby boomers had robbed the young of a good future and how they were feeding off them like a parasite would a host. Every time someone younger than 45 complained about greedy baby boomers it was countered by how the young just cared about Ipods and mobile phones and were never willing to make sacrifices and work hard like they did etc etc

I thought life is complicated and these young upstarts just like the baby boomers would come to learn that they too will change their views and discover in late life that the baby boomers were never the most pampered generation in UK history when it came to free education, housing on one wage and good housing and far more space in a not too over populated country. I always had some sympathy with the difficulties the younger generation faced and always knew there was an element of truth to their complaints, but like I said "life is complicated", what a cop out on my behalf and many others that was.

Covid has now shown me the truth behind the  rebellion against the pampered older generation as it has shown so many unjust crimes in this one sided country today, and they are real injustices. Today I was flicking through the Daily Telegraph and never in all my 50 years have I seen such a bleak future around the corner all in the vain attempt to give a few more years to yet again that pampered old generation, no that is not sarcasm. How many 100,000's will struggle and have shortened lives because of a stressful and more difficult economic environment in the future, and the difficulties were manifest itself in all kinds of way in the next 30 years.

Reading the DT you get the impression that all these difficulties will be put off for today, yet again the pampered baby boomers using a euphemism such as "not wishing to bring certain  markets down today" using taxpayers money really means not bringing the house of cards down on their watch and leaving the future generation to pick up the bill later,

It's quite clear those making all the big  decisions are fighting to keep their savings, gold plated pensions and property equity and lets worry about it in 30 or 40 years when we are gone, not all of them I might add.

Why the young are not rioting in the streets is beyond me, nobody in politics is fighting their corner.

They are just keeping their heads down and hoping they get the blessing of one or more government schemes to put a roof over their head.

None of the under 30s have any testosterone or free thought. FFS I pass bunches of college lads and expect comments about my specs or something, but they all stare at the pavement or phones.

I tell my kids how it is.

The burdens on them and most dont know it.

Said before. Judging from my sons feedback, there are a lot more parents than you would imagine saying the same things to their kids.

A minority, sure. But there.

Compare that with single issues such as migration or brexit...even COVID itself, the total picture is being talked about here. Never a great deal of talk about single issues from what my son says of his cohort

My son is no mini me. Likewise other kids of their parents but there are many kids who realise this issue of being shafted. I even know some teachers of my sons are starting to point it out.

The Manchester University lockdown on campus highlighted it.

It will be a couple of years yet before we see if any of this has stuck with them.

Just like someone from the boomer generation wasnt in WWII..often still said..I am not from the boomer generation but figure at some point, just viewed as an aging fart amd tagged with it.

Thats not me blaming a boomer.

Its that one day if that generation under 20 think hard enough anyone above will be responsible.

Dont discount this generation.

What’s stolen the future of the young is the globalist agenda. The trickle up, where the rich becomes obscenely rich and the poor, poorer.  All the shite about old and young, left and right is just distraction whilst they rob us all blind.

They want you DIVIDED.
DIVIDED by religion.

DIVIDED by race.

DIVIDED by sex.

DIVIDED by political affiliation.

DIVIDED by class.

When you are DIVIDED, and angry, and controlled, you target those ‘different’ from you, not those responsible [controllers].

DIVIDED you are weak.

DIVIDED you pose no threat to their control.

Agree.

I would also add the deliberate destruction of community and the traditional family to further isolate people.

General degeneracy becoming mainstream for example pop music aimed at kids with videos that are soft porn. Games where killing people is promoted as fun. Being connected to the internet 24/7 is regarded as smart.

Anything goes is promoted.....you’re an individual.......be who you want to be.....do what you want.

A nightmare future is unfolding in my opinion. Divide and conquer is working well. Millions of squabbling voices enabled by endless numbers of groups promoting a cause.

I think the reason Liverpool is in tier 2 and not 3 is it is the first place civil unrest would have started.   The British Army are stationed nearby at Pontins Southport and are taking the piss on Trip Advisor.  It’s worth a look.
There is no way they would turn against their fellow citizens.  It’s not been reported but the French Army have stood side by side with the citizens protesting against Lockdown.

Its a war to destroy the middle class once and for all, there will be the upper and outer party workers in the ten percent and the rest, most will be more free in the 90 percent,

Why anyone thinks they can reform a system that is broken is beyond me,, they will just waste there time and energy on a fruitless task

Its very easy to live a happy life if you ignore anf dont engage in the system

True

My plan was to go to very rural Northumberland and see my years out in a place that will mostly escape the changes coming, looks like I might be going for my second choice now Orkney

Pubs closing at a rapid rate except for the conveyor belt type of places for the young which play loud music, get them pissed and take their money, no debate going on in them. But the old traditional pubs where millions once met and chatted with their mates are becoming obsolete, many now buying boxes of beer and spirits and getting pissed at home and not changing the world at a bar.

This happened massively under Blair.

I worked in Salford at that time and pubs were boarded up almost weekly.

It stalled for a while after.

Since March there have been more boarded up in Greater Manchester and havent opened. Even with the narrow summers gap.

Because they have been manipulated since birth, from their psy-ops mind control education, propaganda MSM and soul- deadening social media, topped off with pushed self- loathing pushed by the transgender and feminist global elite movements. If they knew how truly fucked they were, I doubt now they would have the will to riot.

listening to all the bad news yesterday and how this is going to cripple the economy, I just wonder of all the people involved in making these decisions yesterday along with their friends and family, how will it effect them financially in the next 20 years, how much of their wealth will vanish, not by much I bet and where many will make large fortunes

I know it's tough for many people now, but I also know that there is a lot of free money going into the pockets of people who do not deserve or need it and again it makes you wonder now if this is just a start this year to free money for the many.

Housing benefit in the UK is now topping £40 Billion per year and it has been hitting record levels for decades now year after year, do people really think this is out of the goodness of government hearts??

That’s one saveing grace for the government I bought a gaff otherwise I’d be getting at least another 400 there.

The Internet clicks-for-instant-gratification has shown what a greedy entitled impatient bunch Generation Y and Millenials are.

The idea of earning something, and contributing to society before demanding entitlements, is lost on them.

What is this society you speak of, and how would I contribute to it? (assuming I wanted to)
