Look at the creatures holding up the road names in celebration and...

not one white person

If people voted for this then they are brain dead and no right minded individual would want to live on equality Avenue so they'll be future slums.

So much for diversity, cunts.

Down yer in Cornwall developers have been giving streets Cornish language names for about the past twenty years.  Maybe it helps with the planning application.

Instead of "Church Street" it is "Stret Laneglos" for example.

All very Olde Worlde and all that but if you have to give your address over the phone it must be a right pain.

I also helped somebody collect some furniture from a new build estate.  We had trouble finding the house because there were no street name signs and we mentioned that to the seller; they said people had complained to the developer but with the houses all sold the developer had gone and wasn't going to put them up now.

As they were unadopted / private roads it isn't the council's responsibility so no street name signs it is.

Cornwall: Where the streets have no name, or are unpronounceable.

I remember hearing once about a council falling out with a housing developer and getting revenge by naming the new streets as Mussolini Street and Hitler Avenue in the hope of making them more difficult to sell. No idea if true but sounds a bit far-fetched. Then again... council, law unto themselves.

~20 years ago my street was named after Lenin.

A couple of minutes walk away, there is a road (still) called Squirrels.

How about this one, quite ironic considering it's named after Gen Havelock who was based in India and quelled Indian Rebellion in 1857

A road in west London will be renamed Guru Nanak Road after the founder of the Sikh faith, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The local Ealing Council authority announced the decision to rename part of Havelock Road in Southall, an area of London known as the United Kingdom’s celebrated “Little Punjab”, ahead of the 551st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak on Monday.
