Not particularly interesting factoids:

1. Peterlee fire station - featured in the above photo - is not actually in Peterlee.

2. It is around 1,890 yards from my front door by the shortest road route.

      Homes have been evacuated in a London street after an explosion this afternoon. 
      Firefighters and paramedics have rushed to the scene in Harold Hill but there have been no reports yet of injuries.
      The cause of the explosion is still being investigated and emergency services have cordoned off the site. 
      Pedestrians and drivers have been warned to avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing. 
      It is believed to have occurred at about 1.30pm. 
      The explosion is not being treated as terror-related.  
      The Metropolitan Police said said in a statement: 'The emergency services are currently on scene following reports on an explosion in Harold Hill.
      'Police were called shortly before 13:30hrs on Sunday, 4 March to reports of an explosion at a premises in Farnham Road, Harold Hill.
