George Soros likes this.

Edit to add: just told my parents that my Czech wife can now travel to Gibraltar without a passport but they can't.

They'll cope I'm sure.

edit to add: I find it immensely ironic that, for all the hundreds of millions Soros has spent on pushing his political agenda and the not inconsiderable chunk of that he spent funding the continuity remain campaign, that it was arguably his actions as a hedge fund manager that lit the flame under the Brexit rocket to begin with.

An example of a continent's collective political class shoving their heads up each others arses.

Brexit was down to two things - Tax credits/non contrib benefits and FOM.

Brexit, in itself, is not thought to be threatening to Europe - UK splits off, Europe continues along.

However....

it ignores the fact that Europes under 50s are being royally screwed over to pay for the bloated  Europes public sector.

It ignores that the Euro is destroying the Med countries. They are no more catching up, going backwards.

It ignores the mass corruption in EE, which the EU have turbocharged with free money.

And it ignores that the UK offered some respite to ~8m EUers who were neither rich or connected or working in the public sector.

And it ignores that theose ~8m are going to be kicked out, returning to live with their parents, unemployed and pissed off.

France avoided another 1968 in the early 90s by having several 100k young people pour into the UK.

Same goes for all other EU countries- bar Northern ines - since then.

A lot of French businesses are very unhappy with what has happened and not very happy with their govt. Even the fishermen won't be happy long term.

Of course the UK / Cameron could have reformed benefits and restricted millions of EU migrants pouring into the UK but he clearly didn't want to, he just wanted to grandstand and blame the EU for it all. It is only FoM for work, no reason why the UK should be hosting 300K Dutch and Danish Somalis.

Pah! Ignorant nonsense! All those highly skilled professionals will have sorted out their settled status months ago! They wouldn't want to inadvertently put their patients' lives at risk or thrust their students' education into limbo by failing to sort out a simple bit of administration ahead of a widely publicised deadline!

Like every other thing ever, neither of those things will happen.  And that's not me having a pop at your predictions.  That's me saying that the British way is to say you have to comply with something by a certain deadline or else consequences and then, surprise, surprise, no one does and there are no consequences.  Deadlines will be extended or people will be "helped to understand the situation better".

This has been a fantasy of yours for years, it won't happen.

Lefty local authorities will appoint some jobsworth to make sure all the Roma (the ones that we most want rid of) do their paperwork and even those that don't will be saved by ooman rights lawyers.

Less kicked out.

More funding removed.

The mouth breathers in the DSS will be told to stop advancing money.

Last have little sayso on cash.

Most will be fed up dealing with the Roma.
