The Ponceyness thread

Recommended Posts

This thread is for examples of ponceyness found on the MSM that is dressed up as normal in the slow drip drip effort to drive us all insane.

So, the firefighters ate piglets-grown-up sausages, having rescued them from a fire when piglets.

Some delicate people  think it's nasty of them and have harassed them into apologising for eating the dear piggy-wiggies.

Diddums.

I thought that was a nice touch.  They were saved from being burnt alive and were able to grow into adulthood in comfortable living conditions before going to humane slaughter for the sausages.

They have had a decent comfortable life rather than horribly burning to death and the people who saved them benefitted from it at the end.

Good news story IMO.

Or a Nazi. The Nazis were very progressive on animal rights, remarkably. (Hitler was famously a vegetarian).

So anybody who cares about animals is a Nazi? Fucking hell.

They were also the first government to take action to reduce smoking in their population.

So if you want to be absolutely sure you're not a Nazi, then you better spark up a cigarette. :Old:

I'm a Nazi then.

never been accused of being a nAzi

When I sometimes get accused of being racist, I politely reply - No - Race Realist.

Then again, I get accused of being a communist, ex-pat, immigrant, colonial, empireist, socialist, fascist, neo-con, and wanker quite a lot, which kinda tells me I am actually middle of the road.

I have been assumed to be both Jewish and leftie, not in an offensive way but by people who've known me a while.

It's rather odd as I am neither.

It wasn't the purpose of this thread, far from it,  but trump isn't the first to notice things in common between far right and left, and while the correlation isn't 100%, I reckon vegans and vegetarians are commonly but not exclusively towards these extremes. They don't tend to be very wishy-washy in their views.  Something to do with a necessity of feeling "right", maybe?

The Nazis had the most "progressive"?animal rights laws of any nation then or since. A lot of the current EU laws on animal farming were created by the Nazis in the 30s.

Also Vivisection was banned, animal abusers were sent to the concentration camps. The Voelkisch movement that Himmler followed is now better known as veganism (plus some weird mysticism thrown in).

You can easily imagine what would have happened to those practicing halal or ritualistic killings...

I think it's more to do with being on the fringes of society and more likely therefore to engage in free thought. Not so much the case now but to be vegan 30 years ago was very rare and people were demonised because of it.

A lot of gay people are vegetarian or vegan. I can't remember the statistic but I think it's that periphery of society thing again.

Yes - but my proverb alludes to the heterosexual game of "hide the sausage", rather than being a "sausage-jockey"...!

If they hadn't survived the fire these days they wouldn't be fit for human consumption.  At least the firefighters saved them from the more unpleasant death.

Now it's turned into a story about how awful the British were and still  are - better pull down Nelson's column as quick as possible.  At least it wasn't rosbif.

So what did Littlejohn say in his article about two blokes "having" a kid that was so unacceptable and homophobic ?

Littlejohn said he supported civil partnerships, and would prefer a child to be fostered by "loving gay couples" rather than be "condemned to rot" in state-run institutions.
He added: "That said, and despite the fact that countless single parents do a fantastic job, I still cling to the belief that children benefit most from being brought up by a man and a woman."
