I tried Google but all that you get is idiot americans trying to pronounce it as if it was spelled in English.

My try,

As in the name Tina Brook but with the ch sound in loch at the end.

I am pretty sure that the first part is Tea because apparently it means  'House on the hill' and house is Ty^ in Welsh, and pronounced as tea.

Is this authentic?

Apparently Paignton (impossible to pronounce) is actually:-

Paington (which makes sense)

but the Victorians, when the railway reached there, did not think that having pain in the name was attractive to visitors.
