Beach head gas.

Interesting.

Are there any seweage outfalls near there whereby chemicals could have been flushed into the sea? Or something dumped off a passing freighter and the currents have finally brought whatever chemical it was ashore.

Don't cargo ships use chorline to clean out their tanks?

Possibly. Or maybe they are a target for anti-nudists.

There's not a lot on the land around there to produce Chlorine. About three houses, a lighthouse (now another house) and a national trust centre.

Yes, where did it come from?. It's nasty but on the coast it will just blow away.

Having only seen a handful of millenials on twitter saying their eyes are sore I do wonder whether this is just some mass hysteria thing.

Such things happen in Japan.

Have they decided what the cloud was and its source and if it was deployed intentionally.  If it was chlorine that doesn't just appear out of nowhere.  The video shows a definite cloud of some sort.  Has anything like it happened before around the British coastline.

As seen by the Germans, the effects of the attack were horrible, the dead lying on their backs with clenched fists, the whole field bleached to a yellow color.

I think if something like that had happened during WW1 it would almost certainly have been blamed on the German forces as Britain was officially at war with Germany then.

Now Britain and the eu is officially at war with ISIS so that's one possibility but one that likely won't ever see the MSM light of day.  Maybe it was "white supremicists" or even something to do with Trump ;) but didn't the coastguard even do a flyover to see if they could see them.

I think it will transpire that it was Assad and is used for justification to attack the Syrians/Russians.

My money is on the leak coming fro

I'm wondering whether those French power stations have been misbehaving again.

I would have suspected any distant leak to have been dispersed by the wind. Chlorine is also soluble in water and there is a lot of sea off the Sussex coast. My money is that the source is closer to home. Chlorine gas is mainly used to treat water so if it is that involved then I think that narrows down the field of likely culprits. Of course, it maybe something else entirely.
