E-Liquid Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Sorry  if previously discussed ?

Ebay now sell e-liquid and as far as I can see this has caused a price war. Previously,I purchased juice from a website (can't recall). I think it was called Fog Father or similar. The juice was good but rather expensive. About 6 months ago I took a chance on Ebay and purchased 3 x 100m bottles for about £30.00 (by 2 get 1 free).

The juice was bland and flavourless, despite people commenting on how nice it smelt. So this time I thought I'd have shout out for recommendations. Naturally, I'm concerned about what's in it and the legitimacy of the mix. However, I have no real knowledge on what to avoid and who to trust.

My vape is a Itaste MVP 3.0 pro with a plastic tank. I guess that matters.

Thanks in advance and please merge if necessary.

I guess this is what they're doing on ebay ?

How much can it be diluted by and I assume it's necessary to buy high strength nicotine if you're diluting ?

Ebay juice.... nasty nasty nasty.

I would have thought 50% dilution would be possible. The blueberry is straight out of willy wonka! :D

Yep. Cheaper than smoking. ;)

Order this and dilute it? http://amzn.eu/fXzrc8x or http://amzn.eu/gNeUBbd

With regards to your second link for vegetable glycerine at £12.45 a litre - you can buy it cheaper in Boots.

http://www.boots.com/value-health-glycerin-b-p-200ml-10021858

At £1.49 for a 200ml bottle, that's only £7.45 per litre.

That fiver I just saved you will get ya three bottles of half-decent beer at the Co-op..! ;)

The only possible downside is the Boots stuff doesn't claim to be Kosher - which is probably just as well.

I mean if you chopped half an inch off the top of the bottle, then the fucker would leak everywhere...!

;)

I buy concentrated nicotine and mix up my own flavours. You can buy large quantities of 7.2%, along with PG and VG to mix it with from here:

https://www.darkstarvapour.co.uk/shop/72mg-nicotine/72mg-pg-nicotine

I like Flavour Art for flavourings - I mostly vape their fruits of the forest flavour.

http://www.flavourart.co.uk/flavour-concentrates.html

I generally buy my coils etc from here:

https://www.fasttech.com/

They're based in Hong Kong so expect it to take a month or so to arrive.

Thanks - one of the reviews says you need to prove you're retailer in order to purchase ?

Thanks - the bulk nicotine is trade only but the shots are okay for retail. I went for a bottle shot deal. Cost £44 for 500ml. I will have nicotine and base mix left over. I'll report back.

I just smoke the "88Vape" stuff from Poundland (10ml bottles, 16mg/g / 1.6%). A bottle lasts me a week or so, I'm certainly not a 'cloud chaser' or whatever those twats are called. I was never particularly addicted to nicotine when I was a smoker, if anything I'm more addicted to it now. I should probably stop vaping as well, but it's cheap and almost certainly harmless so I carry on for the time being.

The fruit flavour is pretty horrid; Menthol is probably the best. Currently going through a bottle of Red Cola, which is OK, but seems a little less viscous than the other flavours, causing annoying rattling in the atomiser (which I've never changed since I got the e-cig months ago- could be why).

Ah, I was surprised to still see it listed there tbh - the fucking EU have made it illegal to sell nicotine in more than 10ml bottles. Hopefully that one will get repealed if we ever leave.

Yeah, you maybe need a new top bit, cartomizer or whatever they are called. I got a glass one with replaceable wick bits. I just use the pound world ones too, they have three baccy flavours which are fine.

This blowing big clouds of vapour thing is weird I think, I'm chasing the nicotine though, not whatever the fuck they are doing.

Have any of you vape users ever compared the amount of nicotine you take in now compared to when you were smoking? I guess it should be a fairly easy calculation. I'm curious because I see people out and about who pretty much never let go of their vaporiser - you see them in cars, walking around shopping centres etc. One woman recently saw me working in the garage, parked her car outside the driveway and got out to ask me for directions - she brought her vape with her for a 30 second conversation.

So it makes me wonder if the safety aspect of vaporisers means that some people feel encouraged to use them more and consequently take in a much larger quantity of nicotine than they would have done when they were smoking. IIRC nicotine used to be used as an insecticide, so even though there's 4,000 less chemicals in the vape etc, I wonder if some very heavy users might be overdoing it a bit.

On the plus side, there'll be no flies on them.

Edit to add - no intention of being a sanctimonious twat, in case it comes across like that - just genuine curiosity.

It's not quite as easy as directly comparing the number of mg of nicotine in the cigarettes you used to smoke and in the e-liquid you vape due to differences in absorption etc. You need to vape 18mg liquid for 35 minutes to get the same amount of nicotine as you would from a cigarette - https://www.nature.com/articles/srep04133

Assuming you can directly compare though, I was getting through about 240mg worth of nicotine in cigarette (20 cigarettes at 12mg each) and am getting though less than 100mg worth of nicotine from e-liquid now as a heavy vaper.

Excellent, thanks!

That maybe explains why I never got anything out of vaping. I bought one almost 10 years ago but I never felt that I got any sort of hit from it, just a mild sickly sort of feeling. I've always assumed that those early vaporisers probably just weren't very good, but from what you say it sounds like I just wasn't doing enough of it.

@This Time Out of interest how long would one of those 10ml eliquid refills last a heavy vaper ? Mine lasts me about a week.

I've got mine cranked up to the highest setting and I definitely get that same feeling that I used to get from smoking a cigarette, instantly.
