Best track ever....!!!

Recommended Posts

I reckon this has to be the best song ever written. I heard it first at 16 years old....and still go back to it.  It explodes. (But play it loud)

What's your old favorite? :)

I saw The Stranglers at Essex University in 1976.   Amazing band.

They were playing with Deaf School.

Thumbs up to that selection as it is my favourite SAHB track.

A genuine working class anthem not the phony babble of the modern left.

I suspect the following track by the Band ranks nil PC points now but it is still a great song.

I have been listening to it a lot since recent events in Charlottesville and have changed my Dosbods name in its honour

In memory of all those ordinary people who for one reason or another fought on the wrong side in history

I've written a southern cross on my Lexus, with a felt pen, in honour of the fallen.

Don't trivialize it Pinny.

It was "a rich mans war and a poor mans fight" like so many such conflicts and it put over 670,000 people into their graves.

I appreciate that. It was lunacy. We are all subject to it.

My first ever gig. Colston Hall, Bristol. Slade, supported by SAHB. 1973. I had no idea anything could be so loud. Loudest thing I'd heard up til then, was a school disco.

"I blew up your body and then you blew my mind" :D Or something like that. My favourite track off that album is "Grey Lagoons". I like "Do the Strand" too. B|

I bought all of Roxy's early albums on CD a few years ago. I think the song I want played at my funeral is probably this one:
