Lady of the flies

Plans are afoot to remake the Lord of the Flies

...

with Girls!

Euhhhhh!

Is this going to be another Hollywood disaster like female ghost busters?

I've seen The Island with girls so it could work. Golding based the work on observing his class of public school boys.

Here's the 1963 film

What about remaking "The Railway Children" using only Jamaican ladies?

Maybe Jenny Agutter could black up to play the mother?

I do think groups of women tend to be underrepresented in TV and films bar dross like Prisoner Cell Block H. I think female equivalents of Auf Wiedersehen Pet (?troupe of dancers) or The Young Ones would be interesting as long as they didn't cast the old familiar actresses in them.

xD

I thought this thread was going to be about a porn star!

If the lord of the flies is remade with an all woman cast I would expect the savagery depicted to be much higher than the original with an all male cast!

I speak as a female and stand by my comment that female savagery in general outdoes that of men.

Men are perhaps more physically violent but IMO females are more subtly violent mainly by using psychological methods of undermining, belittling and constant wearing down of their prey.

I never underestimate this aspect that, IMO, is common in the female of the species!

The Bear Grylls one? That was hilarious.

Woman A: "The current system just isn't working."

Woman B: "In what way isn't it working?"

Woman A: "In the way that we are rapidly starving to death!"

Yeah, well sounds interesting. If the girls look like this it could do ok at the box office

I thought it was about administration as I read it as lord of the files.  xD

Working mainly with women, fully concur. It will be a short film, within twenty minutes they'll all have killed each other.

Piggy squeeze the conch.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing - is it going to be 12 year olds or Lynx advert age 'girls'. If it is the latter there is a good chance of loads of men wanting to see it if there is lots of nudity and some girl on girl action. Imagine there would be fun casting such a cast in Hollyweird.

The So-Called BBC apparently think women could not possibly behave that way

Unfortunately, experience of bullying in the work place suggests they would make Ralph, Jack, Piggy & Co look like peaceniks
