Health outcomes set to improve for the first time in decades.

I feel the same about cancer (lack of) treatments over the last year. Suspect I'm in the minority though.

When I worked at a hospice we were integrated with the NHS system.  It's exactly what you would expect from a Goverment IT system:  counterintuitive, illogical and inconsistent, over complicated and prone to complete collapse every time there is any kind of significant upgrade.

Government IT will be our savour in this, I have absolute faith in that.

A quick google tells me £12,700,000,000 was the cost of the last failed implementation.

I can guarantee, and I think most IT ppl would agree, that I could get them a working system for 1/1000th of that.

THAT is how protected our freedoms are!  3 orders of magnitude!

What difference does it make?

Just switch the system off and save power.

10 seconds searching finds (2016) £8 Billion tied up in uk.gov projects that are failing / have failed, current figures (allowing for inflation & troughing) won't have reduced from then. NAO at the time said 30% of major uk.gov IT projects were on target to fail :(

Does it count as free if it's somebody elses money you're spending :/

I fear not, with IT down the staff have even more free time to rehearse.
