Cast iron pan support repair weld fix?

Herby

Question

So I am renting a place with a a rare model of gas hob with electric cooker. One of the pan supports was extremely out of line so I tried to gently bend one of the supports. FFS it snapped. Anybody know if they can be welded back on? Looks like quite dark carbon cast iron. Otherwise does JB weld hold during heat?

It's kind of like one of these: https://www.buyspares.co.uk/product.pl?pid=1745761&utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=products&gclid=CjwKCAjwkN6EBhBNEiwADVfya7ra-n__uSAI88e5TIzAhI34g8nsZDVmVq0NctAqZxd5tgpGZE6SFBoCa7EQAvD_BwE

What make/model?

Cast iron tricky to weld and needs pre-heating. Don't think JB weld will stand the heat at all.

Looks promising - even if not exactly the same model no. to match something like a pan support may unlikely change over time and different ranges as pattern part likely bought in anyway.

Weld it with dissimilar rods. ;)
