Tak Bai was in 2004. That was the first time a regional government got serious against Islamists.

That would indicate a European fightback, probably in Poland, Hungary or a hardcore region somewhere, in 2019.

While certain former MILF members are now fighting with Maute Group, and with others linked through marriage, MILF has repeatedly condemned the group’s scorched earth tactics at Marawi.
