Wiring together multiple LED's to battery.

Question

How could I join several of these  together to one battery pack?

The connection off leads to an led rope light which I am using for a Halloween costume. I would like to join 6 of these together onto one battery pack. I can connect all of the positive and negative wires together easily. I do not know if the little circuit board which controls the led ropes could manage several of them at once.

The existing battery pack takes 2 X 1.5v AA.

The led rope lights can be a big draw when you connect them all together. So you would probably be better connecting the control boards in parallel, positive to positive, negative to negative from those battery terminals in the photo.

The problem will be connecting them to a single battery pack, depends on drain etc. You will still need 3v (2xAAs) but the drain might kill them quickly. If you cant parallel a couple or three of the current battery packs (probably defeating the purpose) then try to connect them to 2 D cells (2x1.5 still) in a pack although they might be hard to come by or too heavy.

You might be able to get away with 3 or 4 controllers but would need to see the specs and wouldnt really advise those circuits running hot next to flammable costumes etc! Id use all 6 controllers and see if you can get away with 3 of the battery packs as a first test.

Do you need the controller attached? If not just bypass that little circuit board and have batteries to LEDs?

Happy Halloween too!
