Figure they’re due their own thread given its their 40th Duranniversary

Their 15th album out next week. I’ll be self indulgent and celebrate with some new music to start with feat Graham Coxon amongst others:

I do like a bit of Duran Duran I have to admit

I was first introduced to them by radio 1 with Save A Prayer a million years ago and have followed their ups and downs ever since. Their slow numbers are oft overlooked but they are super.

it’s a shame they can’t ever seem to afford a decent guitarist since Warren and Andy left

I spent an evening in a curry house in Ringwood with Andy Taylor many years ago. He ordered chicken phal. It was hilarious, never seen anyone before or since turn red and sweat so much.

Best line in that song is "your a cunt I'm a cock".

Underwhelmed

All the girls I knew and some boys used to fancy John Taylor, Simon Le Bon & Roger Taylor, the other two not much.

feat Graham Coxon

He went loopy and started stealing sausages to throw at bands as a form of heckling.  Good guitarist so he must be back in the room.

Then, of course, there's Graham Coxon to look forward to. The ex-Blur guitarist is always worth a look - so long as he doesn't get up to any messing at the hotdog stands at the famous boutique festival. Some years ago, Coxon, who was asked to leave Blur during what Uncut magazine dubbed his Bonkers period in 2002, was caught trying to steal a string of sausages from a butcher's shop in Camden Town in London.

"A butcher chased me up the road and smacked me in the jaw. I happened to be wearing a denim skirt at the time. There was a whole bus-load of people watching all this. It wasn't my proudest moment," said Coxon.
