I put one in a 2008 honda civic. It already had a sat nav screen and there was a port on the back of the sat nav dvd to plug a camera in. Took ages to route the cable through the boot but worked well. Just make sure you get the camera as central as possible.

The trouble is that modern cars have headrests and thick pillars which block the view. It's one gadget which is actually useful.

Agreed. I have the aerial view of the car on the screen and it's brilliant for parking. Kids think it's a tiny drone that hovers above the car.

You are correct there. A lot of modern cars have limited rear vision, like driving a van.
