Bugger, back in the gym for the first time since I trapped the nerve  in my shoulder and the strength has totally gone, not like the muscle is weak, it's just not firing. At all. This is a problem.

Try an osteopath.

They seem to be based on a bit of a weird theory, but their part-voodoo stuff seems to work more often than not, especially if an ordinary physio can't help you.

First physio session done, isolated the nerve connection to the tricep as the issue, gave me some exercises and said get back in the gym you lazy git, just dont expect to be able to bench press for at least another two months. Come back in 4 weeks and make sure everything's progressing.

Money we'll spent and a weight off my mind.

I've never broken a bone in my life.  Does that mean I am boring, or strong?

Only had 4 weeks out with the wrist. Getting close to 100kg squat again, which is always my first aim, but the left arm is definitely still weak after the trapped nerve.

Moving up through the weights again, but 30kg overhead press was tough today. Trying to top up with isolation exercises on the triceps and pecs but I'm not sure it's helping that much.

Bit of both probably, and lucky as well. I’ve never had a full break either, just a couple of minor cracks from heavy impacts. Most cricketers have had broken fingers, I escaped those. Have had a couple of snowboarding accidents where I was astonished nothing was broken - once the impact was heavy enough to knock me briefly unconscious even though I didn’t hit my head.  Was black and blue from head to foot, but  unbroken.
