Chinese Surveillance System

Recommended Posts

I’ve been seen this but couldn’t read the writing so presume it’s just profiling people as opposed to knowing who they are exactly. Although I did see rumours that the Parsons Green bomber popped up ‘on the grid’ by facial recognition, not sure how true that is.

There was something similar shown a while back where an advertising board had a camera and would guess gender, age, where they looked and for how long etc. just assumed it was something similar.

Edit. Here’s the image, was from a digital pizza shop advert.

What's the use of following the Chinese.? They all look the fucking same!O.o

I bet a Chinese surveillance system is 1/3rd the price of a British one, if you're prepared to wait three weeks for it to arrive.

Putting aside facial recognition for a second, I presume the car number plates are easy enough to track in real time?

Looks very similar to other tracking / image recognition systems I've seen. As in Chinese cannot tell if the person is id'd, no reason why not, you could  triangulate cellphone and use that to do initial ID in combination with facial recognition pretty easily.

No idea if it's genuine, but it could easily be in this country. Going by leaks, GCHQ isn't that advanced yet, but it will be soon - all of those people are carrying mobile phones with accurate GPS coordinates. I've posted it before but it's so easy to fingerprint you, as long as you have an internet connection. https://amiunique.org/

The facial recognition suggestion of the Jizzlamist I'm pretty sure is a false flag to mask how he was actually identified - eg via GPS coordinates or something like tracking his debit card purchases via an exploit. Facial recognition is very early stage and terribly inaccurate.

The part of China I visit regularly had vast amounts of CCTV installed about five years ago. This is in a small city - I imagine they have installed millions of cameras throughout China. This also coincided with substantial internal security increases - bag scanners when entering train stations, etc... They seem to be taking the threat from the Muslim minority seriously and dealing with it.

Or just using that as a pretext.

I'll bet it will be marked as "gift".

You could always adopt a certain type of clothing that makes you invisible.

Trump and Kim look amazing, not sure about the Putin one though!

Would they fool the facial recognition software?!

I read that it took 15 to 20 minutes to recognize someone Jaywalking in a town, not real time. Of course, as was said on the Finsbury Park thread, it depends how much data they have to search. The new apple facial recognition takes 30,000 control points in order to build a facial map but it only has to search for you!

Here is an article from the WJS about it

About 6-7 years ago i went in Burger King in Waterloo station,  paid cash for my meal.

When i got home i had a thanks for visiting Burger King email in my inbox.

It freaked me out.

I worked on a  marketing conference a few years back, bloke from some company was using facebook facial recogntion to feed his profiling wares. Could tell from tags what demographic they were what they would eat where they worked etc. Its all out there.

To my knowledge i've not been tagged on FB etc. I still have no idea how Burger King knew who i was.

Looks possible with commercially available software and services. Saw a demo where the system was configured to recognize employees and tools - if an employee picked up a tool they weren't authorized to use the system raised an alarm (and maybe notified a T1000 to fix the problem!).

It works well.
