Paul Mason's rotted his brain thread

Recommended Posts

Such a common occurrence, being Jezzas man of the media, that he needs his own thread.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/oct/02/catalans-independence-revolt-spain-independence-flags

' Two million Catalans braved the threat of a police boot in the face to demand independence. As with Scotland and Greece, this was a modern, cosmopolitan form of nationalism '

I await Jezzas marketbased centrally planned economy.

Paul Mason waxing lyrical on secessionist votes led by socialists:

Quote

The Scottish, Greek and Catalan revolts were all driven in part by the failure of the economic model. In 2014, 45% of Scots believed they could better secure their rights, culture and economic future free of Westminster; in 2015 62% of Greeks voted to defy the economic logic of the Eurozone; now two million Catalans have braved the threat of a police boot in the face to demand independence within both the EU and the Eurozone.

Paul Mason on Brexit, a secessionist vote not led by socialists:

Quote

All over Britain, people have fallen for the scam. In the Brexit referendum, we’ve seen what happens when working-class culture gets hijacked – and when the party that is supposed to be defending working people just cannot find the language or the offer to separate a fake revolt from a real one.

You can see why he was such a perfect fit at the "non-partisan" BBC.

' In 2014, 45% of Scots believed they could better secure their rights, culture and economic future spend North Sea Oil revenue free of Westminster; '

Without reliasing that a lot of OiL + gas is extracted in English waters.

Or, that Shetland would want to succeed and spend the lions share on itself.

Scotland succeeding from the UK - a valiant struggle against a faraway administration.

Shetland succeeding from Scotland - a greedy, self interested grab of resources by a small, unproductive region.

Being anti-Owen Jones could be another motive for the Vegas attack, to stop him going on about Orlando.

I might be wrong, but I get the feeling that the Guardian website is - ironically - one of the most censured.
